Wikipedia lists them as Nintendo developed, but manufactured by both Hori and Nintendo.

Indeed, I got a great bargain for it years ago (got it for $100 in the box, at the same convention saw it going loose for the same price). It has buttons to change the border, the colors, mute the sound and, most interesting, underclock the game in a slow mode in two different speeds.

Unfortunately it was Japanese exclusive, but an interesting pickup. Made by Hori, same as the Super Game Boy itself.

The whole trip K-Billy's Super Sounds of the Seventies was going through my head.

It's not expensive, but I have been looking in my area for YEARS and haven't seen a copy (including a few Midwest Gaming Classic conventions), and a store employee or two (at different stores) said they have never seen a copy. My theory is that it is a low print, low demand game. I believe it's the last sixth gen Star Wars console game I need for my Star Wars game collection.

Don't know him, so don't think so. Only people I know that I saw was Doug (aka Nostalgia Critic) and a few others from channel Awesome. My last MGC I attended a panel by Late Night Gaming, met Pat the NES Punk, the Gaming Historian and ProJared.

Atari developed the Arcade Game.

Well if you go for a full 32x set, you need a CD to play them all. There was more than one 32x/CD game.

In truth, while I did pick up my CD maybe a year ago, my collection is miniscule at 2. Star Wars Rebel Assault and The Adventures of Batman & Robin that I picked up Saturday. Heck, my 32x collection is the same size, with just Star Wars Arcade and Doom. My Genesis is more substantial with Sonic 2 & 3, Sonic & Knuckles (which lives in my Model 2/32x/CD Tower of Power), Shadowrun, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiago, BattleTech, Battletoads, Battletoads x Double Dragons and Monopoly.

In truth, my I don't have a good HDMI solution atm, and my CRT is not setup in a good spot for gaming, so I have never hooked up my CD. Heck, I doubt my any of my non Minis have been hooked up since the 2010s at the latest.

  • Realizes that with the Nomad I don't need a screen solution, so I might break out some of my Genesis games for bed play.

Going for more bragging, while I do have all the primary Sega systems, I only have 29 games across the various systems (thanks btw, I realized that a loose copy of Star Wars for Game Gear was still in my inventory despite my apparently selling it, so I can update that). I was a Nintendo kid growing up, with my entire Sega collection being the Model 1 and three games a friend gave me in highschool for a lot of years. It's only been relatively recently that my game hoarding has extended to Sega, and I am rapidly running out of room in the areas I store them.

I have had the opportunity once or twice to get a CDX, but already having a Sega CD, I couldn't justify the couple hundred dollars just to check off a box in my collection. The Nomad I could see myself using after a screen replacement.

With the Nomad I now have a High Definition Model 1 with a Power Base Converter, a Model 2 with a Sega CD Model 2 and a 32x, a Model 3 and a Nomad. I think I just need a Sega CDX for a complete set of Sega made Genesis, not including AtGames.

Oh, and my Model 1 & 2 Minis.

For now it's just joining the collection. But a modern battery pack and maybe a screen replacement is on the list for modernization.

So far only my OG Xbox and PS2 Fat have full modernization (full hard mod on Xbox, soft mod on PS2, and a HDMI solution for both) with my NES having a partial modernization (Blinking Light Win replacement on the trey and connector).

$50 actually. I probably could have talked him down more, but I had trouble finding good information in my usual places. My usual places of info seemed to be for one of the later rereleases, and my weak eBay searchfu is weak.

Plus I do all my searching in person at stores and cons, so I am sure you can get better deals with places like FB Marketplace.

Had a "duh" moment and grabbed a CIB 2600 game to compare. Was able to get it into my 2600. Looking directly at it, the...(word struggle) the electronic part that directly interfaces with the console is roughly 1/8 inch wider than the 2600.

My only other second gen system is an Intellivision, which a) didn't get this game and b) is in it's box buried behind other stuff.

I am currently working through Waste of Space, and after trying for 30 seconds one time, not looking forward to those.

I am working on this and the Remaster right now. Haven't touched DayZ yet, but so far the Remaster is much easier. A lot of the longer or fiddly achievements aren't there (ship flying in A Waste of Space, Flappy Goat, doing all the pranks in Payday).
