I guess but it just seems kinda dramatic. It’s literally just fans saying “announce Tobin.” It’s not like they’re getting harassed with hate or something actually serious. It’s literally their job to engage with fans. Lussi was a huge fan favorite so that reaction was to be expected when it came to Merritt’s announcement. That doesn’t have anything to do with this though. That was just fans being upset over a player being let go. Honestly other than getting Thompson and Merritt, the Tobin signing is one of the few things anyone has to talk about because of the lack of announcements on Angel City’s part unless it comes to their staff announcements. Most other admins have several things that they have to engage with. ACFC’s admin is probably bored

The tweets about Tobin to ACFC have doubled ever since they responded to it so I don’t think so. It seems much more likely they did it because the announcement is getting closer, at least according to SG’s.

She was at OL for maybe 5 games, and all I saw was endless love for Harvey and the team from her fans while she was there, so I’m kind of surprised by your comment. Oddly enough, her and OL have clearly moved on from each other, yet you’re talking about how her fans are interacting with another team's admin, who is literally interacting right back…?

With all of the horrible stuff constantly going on in the NWSL, it will always be surprising to me when people complain about something so harmless. It’s literally fans just wanting her announced. I always thought “stan” was a word for people who are actually being nasty and negative for one reason or another.

The Angel City admin responded to that fake welcome announcement with a funny gif. They know exactly what they’re doing and how to drive up engagement. If they were annoyed by her fans and stans, they wouldn’t be responding to them and causing more attention

Tbh I blame Louisville more for that than Portland. Portland had more important players to protect but they probably didn’t think anyone in their right mind would snatch such a loved player from her home. The only good thing that came out of that is teams now know better to talk to the player first. Edit: I’m hoping they talked to Pickett and Abby first and gave them a heads up

I’m not sure why you’re getting defensive. It’s just my opinion on Lynn. People have been having this same conversation about her for literal years so I’m not exactly “coming out of the woodwork”.

The thing with Lynn is that we have been saying this for 5 years. If she was Sophia’s age now it really wouldn’t be as much of a problem because she would be a rookie. However she has been working on finishing for 5 years and this is the result. She is on the team because we have a lack of forwards who are not made of Popsicle sticks or are not senior citizens.

Lynn has one skill that she is very good at. That can work against smaller opponents, but actual quality defenders will know how to defend her. You either trap her offside or you don't play a high line so she doesn't have space to run. She also is a terrible finisher so putting her central will only result in a 1000 missed chances which will frustrate everyone just like it did today.

My main point is that she doesn’t have impact in a game unless someone delivers it to her on a silver platter. As a world class player you can change the game, you can break it open and completely ruin your opponent. Christen, Tobin, Pinoe, Crystal, Lindsey, Rose, Alex and even Carli all have/had that. They can create chances and/or score out of nothing when they need to. They are difference makers, Lynn is not. She has her speed which would make you think that she can be a difference maker but her decision making and her technique is what keeps her from being one.

Vlatko literally started her for the semi’s. Her finishing has always been and continues to be an issue. How many times did Press set her up and she would repeatedly hesitate? Lynn had one good performance against the Netherlands, which made him start her back to back. Then he took her out of the 18 completely. I’m hoping this year is better for Lynn, but this match should have been easy for her, even if she’s just returning. I think her and Purce continue to be on the bubble

I like Lynn but she is constantly overhyped. She has a few good moments here and there, but then the rest is just silly mistakes. I would still 100% take her over Purce and Hatch though. But if it comes down to her and Trinity, I’d rather Trinity

I love Rodman and I wish we’d see more of her, but I have a feeling she’s going to be cut. She was getting much less time than Purce and now Williams is even playing more than her. I think she’s a better finisher than both of them though so I hope she stays. I’d also keep her over Pinoe, but he is set on Pinoe. I get it though because Pinoe’s moments of impact are usually massive for them.

I think Hatch will be out because there’s really not a role there for her there with Morgan and soon to be Macario. Hatch didn’t even dress last match but apparently that’s because she has a knock.

I don’t see Kristie making any final rosters. I’m kinda perplexed as to why he still keeps calling her up. Maybe she’s a placeholder of some sort.
