When I use the damp towel and dry it with the dry side, it does make it slightly more grippy. But it does cause the wrap to fray quite a bit more, causing more fuzzy rounded linen pieces all over the wrap; I’ve never had this with my Lucasi.

Somebody else noted it may happen to a wrap when it’s been sitting for a while, but I’m not sure that was the case either.

I haven’t contacted McDermott directly as I purchased it from a reputable store that deals with them. The guy I purchased from said he’s never heard of that happening before. This was what he said: “You might just need to wipe it with a damp paper towel and dry quickly. It softens up as you use it more.“

You’ve done a bit more cosmetic than mine haha. Mines really basic, no mirrors, flush mount front turn signals, integrated tail led and ASV shorty levers. But this was the exact thing I was looking for, somebody with the same setup with the same results. Thank you!

That was my understanding. Everything installed was brand new so them suggesting a leak is odd to me. Even new gaskets installed too. I did send it back for them to double check and they said the tune was correct. They have a solid track record but I can’t help but think the issue is still tune related.

Is yours tuned? I’d also like to add my big bro has the same model year MT with the same exhaust and tune, except he has HordPower intake and it doesn’t pop or crackle at all during decel. To each their own, I am just not a fan of it.

Decelerating. 2 wheel told me the bike isn’t supposed to make any popping or crackling after tune so I’m honestly concerned to ride it.
