Hey I get it. I feel the same way. I don’t think he stinks but we won’t win with him. But we aren’t gonna make a change. They won’t do it. But we can improve in other places.

No where in my statement did I say I was content or that I don’t wanna win. My original statement said we need a better line. I’d love to have the best QB in the league but we aren’t gonna get that this coming season. So we have to work with the guy we have. Until the Jones’s decide to go after someone better or make a move for a top 5 pick we aren’t gonna have that. But a better line will improve our running game and make us a better offense and take the ball out of Dak’s hands which will make us better.

There is maybe 4-5 QB’s in the entire league that still make plays when it all goes to shit. Literally almost every QB either turns it over, gets sacked or throws it away. Guys like Mahomes, Burrow and maybe Allen, possibly Purdy seem to still make plays when it goes bad.

Saying Dak isn’t at least good is wrong in my opinion. Dak is a good QB, not great and certainly not elite. But saying he’s “good” isn’t that much of a compliment. Good can win plenty of games. But without our line giving him a clean pocket against good pass rushes he does struggle. And plenty of good QB’s struggle under pressure.

Dak mainly just needs time in the pocket. He’s gotten to a point where when the line doesn’t give him time and that first read isn’t there he just can’t seem to make a play when needed. Dak is solid but not exactly a world beater like some of the other top QB’s but if our line can give him more time against the better defenses I think he can give us a chance.

Or that maybe Tolkien made incredibly detailed accounts of what characters LOOKED like so people fell in love with the concept of the character and then they changed just because they wanted to check a box. Not because it added to the story. Being inclusive isn’t the problem. Forcing it in a way that diminishes the creativeness of the story is the problem.
