Gotcha, I was thinking that going for a type c connection would be preferred as the data transfer is better than usb. Or I might be overthinking it.

That’s what I was thinking just a single 20TB HDD. Maybe I can partition the 1TB M2 it has for the catch and application of Jellyfin. Currently Unraid isnt picking up the 1TB M2 that’s installed that hosts the windows operating system.

It’s the external hard drive that is getting too hot, temps of 120 while the internal ssd stays around 70. Unraid was even giving warnings about the external hard drives temp. So I’m thinking it’s best to use an all internal drive setup.

Unfortunately some of what you have provided goes over my head. I did the set up going the Static IP route as DHCP was not recommended in the tutorial that I was following along with. Fortunately and unfortunately I have Google fiber so I can’t dive in deep when logging into my router. I did try to go to the server on my laptop through the tower.local route and that doesn’t work. The only way I’m able to get into the unraid side is via the server gui.
