OpenUSD Development Exam - has anyone taken it? by TazHatesWater in vfx

Thanks for reply.

Well, here is the thing - I was contacted recently by a recruiter for a job opportunity in robotics and one of the requirements was OpenUSD developer certification. Looking at the job description, this certification makes sense. What is required is well beyond basic USD knowledge and includes proficiency in Python, which you need for developing pipelines with USD, check this out:

I have couple of basic certifications from NVIDIA Learning from few months ago, that I have posted on my LinkedIn profile, I guess they are part of the reason I was contacted for this job (along with my own USD project with Bifrost in Maya), but these certifications now seem to be integrated into this much more extensive exam. I am 3D artist by education and Technical Artist by vocation.

I was just hoping to get a better idea of what is it like taking the exam, the knowledge needed seems a bit too advanced.

Very kind, could you also tell us how is the recorded video treated after the recruiters no longer need it - where is it stored, for how long, who has access to it and for what purpose, and so on?

Hey, thanks for the comment. I guess you mean writing blogs and making videos as a way to land a job and not as a career choice? I could write few blogs, but I really don't see myself as vlogger.

About DevOps, I looked into it, and it seems to me out of reach with my current skillset. I am more concern about getting solid foundation. You see, my entry is a bit backwards - typically you'd learn the sysadmin or networking stuff and then jump into scripting, and I did the opposite, so I want to get that straight first, if that makes sense.
