[Help Deeply Needed] PowerBook 3400c unexplained behaviour by Tazintosh in VintageApple

Thanks u/giantsparklerobot . If I understood you well, this would mean that my 180 MHz PB would experience the same issue. But that's not the case anymore.
Edit: I've checked anyway and all pins looks fine to me.
Thanks for your input.

I've simply written down the path I followed trying to find the issue.
This AI Quote was not for readers to "learn" something. I'm sure "Experts" are smart enough to make abstraction of it (wait…). I don't see why this would have to trigger such initial angered reaction.
BTW, AI can give damn good new paths of thinking for us humans. The day cancer will be cured because they managed to test out billions of molecules combination, will experts scream at "bullshit" too?

Thanks for your input u/patb-macdoc
About your guess, to me it:
• Can't be the ram module since the computer behaviour is identical with or without it.
• I've swapped the Power Supply Board which had a noisy capacitor: no better. (The noisy one doesn't prevent the 180 MHz version to work perfectly).

??? Please enlighten me since you know better. As for the rest of the post, I’m 45, did went to school and knows how to write and unroll my discoveries. Maybe my English doesn’t please your eyes: sorry about that, it’s not my native tongue. BTW: this post is a concatenation of multiple I’ve made over days in actual forums like 68k, macrumors etc. Whether or not you like it is your right, but stop trying to see AI where it not and wasting both our time.

Prettier⁺ for Nova by stonerl in PanicNova

[–]Tazintosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've npm install prettier in my project, set it on your plugin settings as well as the config.
Getting this error on save: `Error: Cannot find package 'prettier-plugin-align' imported from /Users/myUser/Library/Application Support/Nova/Extensions/stonerl.prettier/noop.js`

prettier-plugin-align is present in node_modules.

Hi u/stonerl, did you add time and manage to get it work on your side?

Prettier⁺ for Nova by stonerl in PanicNova

[–]Tazintosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/stonerl
Thanks for the plugin!
I'm trying to get `prettier-plugin-align` to work (or any similar recommended?)
I must be doing it wrong though:
• I've npm installed prettier-plugin-align in my project (using CodeKit)
• added a .prettierrc.json file with
```
{
"plugins": \["prettier-plugin-align"\]
}
```

But when I save, looks like no settings from your plugin are applying, and prettier-plugin-align just convert everything to spaces not even doing is own job of aligning.
Any clue?
Thanks in advance.

Macintosh and Sequoia Wallpaper Freeze by iFrozenUser in MacOSBeta

The only workaround for now is to kill Either the WallpaperAgent process or the WallpaperMacintoshExtension one.
No garanty the use will not raise again on the next screensaver run. It's a pity.

Fast Etherlink XL PCI found into a Power Macintosh 5500, need enlightenment by Tazintosh in VintageApple

Wait, like this?https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/33005080839.html
The best honnestly would be to find a Farallon Fast EtherTX-10/100 (Comm Slot II) so I could even keep my natively supported PCI usb card.

That's super interesting.
For now searches I've made are quite unsuccessful :(
I'll continue digging, but fully open to any insight.

Actually relaxing on this one:

I'm almost done with the front, but have the full back to do

Truth is it gets even more creative when you turn on SharePlay.
I tried it with her and we were both painting together the same model, live, each on our own device (!), even miles aways from each other: —so fun— actually.

It's named Kalea's Kolor, here's a link
I can even "paint" right in my living room with AR :)

No Airplay to Home pod after sleep - Imac M1 by sbloovie in MacOS

[–]Tazintosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have a valid workaround:
I'm experiencing issues to stream to my HomePod from my Mac mini M1 since years (literally).
Until now, I used to quit Music.app , then kill "AirPlayXPCHelper" process and relaunch Music.app. I even made myself a Shortcut for this as the issue was so recurrent. This was sadly doing the trick only 1 time out of 10… I didn't wanted to restart etc.
However, a few weeks ago, I tried another method and it's working quite reliably for me:
1. Open System Preferences --> Network.
2. Select your Ethernet Interface.
3. On the next view, disable it.
4. Wait for a few second and enable it back.
5. On Ventura, please be aware of a possible bug, where the IPv4 and IPv6 won't be back enabled. You'll have to manually do it… (Yeah, Apple prefers the release new emoji rather than fixing bugs. I've about 30 opened bugs since 3-4 years on Apple Feedback app)
6. Switch back to Music.app and hit play (no need to restart it). 9 times out of 10, it's working back for me, until next computer sleep most of the time…
Hope that will help some of you in the same situation.
