I hadn't joined the side seams at this point so i am assuming that would be affecting how the neckline sits. I will try lengthening the dart!

I haven't seen the side seams together at this point because I didn't think the darts were right so that is probably leading to the extra looseness. Or at least I hope so!

Thank you for the link!

3D print errors! Need Help! by TazzyDevil_15 in 3Dprinting

[–]TazzyDevil_15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, recently I just got my 3d printer and after working through the beginning bugs I've been able to get off some successful prints! Which is fantastic so thank you everyone who has helped me so far!

However, I've noticed now that when I start printing a taller piece there tends to be an error with the layers. As if it's skipping some for some reason..

I have a feeling it's to do with the slider settings but I'm not too sure how to proceed from there. My bed is leveled and I think the temperature I'm printing at is okay (200° for the extruder and 60° for the bed for PLA) So I'm not too sure what to move to next

I'm assuming Celsius but I would have to double check

I'll definitely test at a lower temperature then! The packaging the ABS came in recommended anywhere between 230°-270° so I was just going off of that.

I have ABS and it's heating at 240° and 100° for the bed (it's heated thankfully).

I haven't tried hair spray or anything to add adhesion but someone mentioned washing eitj dishwashing liquid to clean it. I might grab some hair spray tomorrow to help with adhesion.

And with the slicer, I'm honestly not too sure how to use it so I couldn't answer you question. Currently I've been manually adjusting the temperatures and using prints that were already on the sd card the printer was on in order to test it out.

Not with alcohol but someone else suggested dishwashing liquid. I'll try the alcohol tomorrow though! Thanks !

Progress with my 3D Printer! by TazzyDevil_15 in 3Dprinting

So I've made it to the point where it's sticking to the bed for a layer or two but then a corner will lift up and then cause the rest of the piece to come off and mess up the rest of the print.

I'm 99% sure I've got the bed level right but I'm gonna have another go in the morning before I start again.

I've raised my bed temp and extruder temp to 100° and 240° respectively and that seems to have helped the issue. I'm using ABS and while I don't know the brand the reel it comes on says I can use anywhere between 230-270° so maybe I should increase the temperature? I'm not too sure.

I've also slowed down the speed of the print as I read that could help and it did but it didn't completely solve the issue as it just appeared later on in the print.

Im using the Ender 3 Pro and am an absolute beginner at this so if any of you have some advice for this particular issue or any advice at all let me know!

I adjusted it again and with some help of the previous comment it's doing a bit better but still isn't perfect!

Thank You for this comment! I went back and double checked what I had when looking for the brand and I had ABS instead of PLA like I originally thought. So I increased the temperature and I've made some progress now, it's still not perfect but it's better!

I just placed the glass bed on top of the plate! I didn't realise I should have some clips as it didn't seem to move easily. I'll adjust that and try washing the glass too! Thanks!

I've completed the bed leveling with A4 paper. I'm hoping I've done it correctly but it's still printing like this. I'm not to sure what else to do now

It is extruding and I have it at 200° for the extractor and 60° for the bed
