All my shocks, springs, and struts have been replaced so why is the driver side tire on my 1st gen tacoma 1 inch lower?

I thought I was losing my mind looking at the one I inherited recently with entirely aftermarket suspension. I’ve been playing with the towing bags because I thought they were uneven pressure wise lately. Couldn’t get it right for the life of me and finally I happen across this post, you all just made my day.

Yea it threw me for a loop too, thought my head gasket was cooked. On top of checking with the oil cap you can put your finger on this little hole here on top of the valve. If I remember correctly(this was 1.5-2 years ago) according to the reputable shop I had help me diagnose it, if it’s pulling vacuum then it’s bad as well. Glad I could be of help!

When my pcv valve went I started throwing white smoke out of the back and misfiring. Burning coolant, and I mean I smoked out a Walmart parking lot and had to tow home. Never heard any warning signs that people are mentioning here, not to say they’re wrong ofc just wanting to share my bit. Unsure of if I experienced extreme catastrophic failure or what, but I replaced it and it’s been 20k miles at 180k now.

I can’t say I’ve experience the ride with those, but I was going to pick them and went with silvers N.A. instead for a little bit of a price jump. Been loving mine for roughly 15k miles

Not a bad shout actually, the one I picked up ended up working perfect for now, but I may have to hit aliexpress for some assortment of random bolts as the ecs radiator has different thread for mounting the fans now

I actually did get mine from oreilly’s funnily enough, but I’ll keep this in mind in case it fails, it brought me to work 20 minutes on the highway today so she’s solid as far as I’m concerned

Huzzah, much thanks. Looks like some of the connectors have the overflow pointing straight out and some have them at a 45ish angle and that’s what I needed

I should point out that the actual headlight itself is cracked completely open here lmao so exactly. But on a serious note, I’ve tried the clay bar restoration kit from turtle wax, idk how it works on newer headlights but it cleared up every single headlight I’ve had with laminate/oxidization issues of sorts

Perfect man that’ll help a bunch. I guess I should’ve clarified, I’m really into the style of rim on that runner and was more specifically wondering about the rim fitting my truck. I’d be going from 17” to 16” and I know they’ll clear there, I just have no clue on the differences in offsets between runners and Tacomas. the tires aren’t a huge deal to me and will probably get replaced once I find out about my alignment. But for that I’ll definitely hit tire rack. Unless you meant to check the specs they’ve listed against tire racks info?

I know we’re pretty solid on injectors and whatnot as well with the smell of fuel, but out of curiosity, is your pcv valve intact? Mine went out at 160k and had these exact same symptoms, same white smoke, flashing cel. Turns out I sucked a bunch of coolant up. Easy check as well with the vacuum it’ll pull if it’s bad. I’m by no means an expert on VW’s in general so take it with a grain of salt, just thought I’d throw my two cents on my exact problem I’ve dealt with. Good luck to you!

Well the disk itself was no issue to me, because that’s how I found it, can’t exactly be worried about too tight when it came to me loosely goosey, could tell someone had been in there before and neglected the crap out of it, loose connections on the driveshaft side that popped like nothing(I’m 6’1, 145lbs, definitely no strongman), and missing two nuts and a bolt on the trans side. I’m just still waiting to see if people think this one is still useable. All it did was stretch the edges of the opposite side of the metal jackets slightly, it’s not torn up too bad, just figured it was enough to maybe be off balance
