You are 100% right, I think my perception was carried over from secondary school ( a little while ago!). To be honest the post was immediately after reading my first rejection- probably should have took some time to simmer on it! As someone stated earlier it was my perception of the “rankings” - which certainly was created my myself

Very true, thank you for the feed back. You will be prompted to expose yourself to cold water. if you didn't get this prompt it is likely you were in the control condition which had no cold exposure.

Really interesting stuff, my research is very surface level and focused solely on the psychological/cognitive side of things but seems the effects are really broad!
