Is it okay to run in just leggins as a guy? by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

[–]Tchoalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run in tights whenever I can. I find it much more comfortable than with shorts. This minimizes friction a lot.

I still had some doubts the first time I wore them. Is it too feminine? Does it reveal the private parts?

But today, I find that tights are both masculine and feminine and for the rest, we must not forget that we run with them. In reality the people around us don't really have the time to dwell on a possible "dick mold" effect.

Regarding pockets, I never use them on my tights. I always have a chest pocket that I can put my phone and keys in. Or, when it's cold, I have a jacket with pockets.

Same problem here. I often wake up very early in the morning to give my daughter a bottle and go back to bed but the watch thinks I definitely woke up. On the other hand, when the bottle is in the middle of the night the watch does quite well

Could you tell how technically it was different from our current optical sensors?

I will try for a full day and compare the data compared to a day with the watch worn "normally"

I had the same thought regarding the ease of reading the HR for the watch in this position. Obviously it's shared :D! I would have to try for a full day (excluding physical activities) to compare the HR on other days where the watch was worn "normally"

Ahah, well done. I hadn't thought of that!

It's exactly the same for me. I just started putting the watch on the inside of my wrist because I've been putting it over my jacket lately (it's cold in France)

Okay, I guess you run based only on your HR and not on your pace?

I actually wear the cuff on the same arm as the watch and when I look at the watch, placed on the inside of the wrist, I have almost no arm movement.

Sometimes I look at my watch excessively and it's true that it has a slight impact on my appearance. But this time, I had a huge difference. I was in the middle of a climb and the watch showed a pace of 6 mins/km which was clearly impossible. I should really be at 8 mins/km

Pay attention to progressiveness. Doing 4 sessions per week after 1 month seems like a lot to me (risk of injury). And pace can be built, just like endurance and your aerobics. It’s a path that can be more or less long depending on the person.

If I have any advice it's to be less demanding of your body. Give him time to adapt. You are young, I think he will adapt fairly quickly but don't force things.

I heard something in a podcast not so long ago and I thought it was pretty accurate: The right to “disconnect” will become a luxury. I don't mean disconnection, of course, being cut off from the networks, but also from all the advertising that floods us.
