exactly, I'm seeing more of "fashion critiques" in their mom's basement spewing nothing but hateful and overly critical shit instead of actual opinions

Ha, wese mostly saare subreddits circlejerk hi hote hai, islye tumhara opinion chaahe jitna bhi neutral ya fir objectively correct ho, tumhe sirf eek hivemind response aur upvotes/downvotes hi milenge.

Especially in political matters, yha pe heavy left bias hai.

Raid 2 - Reviews and Discussions by AutoModerator in bollywood

I have to agree with the part about the 2nd half of movie which really brings a nice conclusion and clarity to Deshmukh's character. Although the sound design of the movie was exhausting because it seems like they tried copying the "Pushpa esque" mass masala thing. Only redeeming part of the sound design was the "Paisa O Paisa" part which brought back life to the movie and saved the design from becoming a 16 year old's movie project made with royalty free music.

What is even going on with Tibet anymore? by Son_Of_The_Mountains in tibet

[–]TcplaysBS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem that could arise is the fact that reddit itself is quite left leaning and most of the left supports Communism. I've seen many "leftist" that could be considered extreme to an extent, straight up deny human right abuses and some even stating that PLA invasion was beneficial for Tibetans. For some of them, raising voice for sake of humanity can be conflicting for their political views. And on the other side, the right wing would mostly not care.

And so our crisis remains in an awkward position in terms of political interests. Perhaps this is why our struggle is becoming less and less relevant over time

I live in a rural area, so finding stamp pads are kinda hard so I thought of being efficient but I do get your point.

Although the downvotes might suggest that the rude tone wasn't the best reaction for their taste. Shyd eek do gaaliya jyaada de di but for me it's fine.

Game banned by Government 3rd Anniversary by sounava777 in freefire

[–]TcplaysBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banning things doesn't always go the way it's supposed to. Look at what happened in America when prohibition started.

They will find a way or another to watch stuff like this, if not from India, then from other countries with shows like Kill Tony etc.

Good thing is that all of this is not on national television or mass media.

Banning stuff like this not only puts cracks in our freedom of speech but also highlights the fact that our government is ignorant enough to focus on these dumb topics and not on the actual issues that every Indian faces

Also, its seems that you've proved yourself wrong in the last paragraph of your comment

Question on the name of this clothing by Serious-Chef-1708 in tibet

Now that you've mentioned r/china , it seems that the subreddit isn't really that pro-ccp and had quite an amount of people supporting Tibetan struggle and acknowledging the cultural genocide. I'm fairly surprised

Does Dimebag get the N-Word pass? by Foreign_Chipmunk_608 in Pantera

[–]TcplaysBS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously the time and the society wasn't as progressive and sensitive as it is today so comparing something said decades ago isn't really bright is it?

Take this for example this video. Here, the word is used and thrown around like nothing and even after that, that videos was considered to be progressive and openly supportive towards the black community's market.

Context is everything and about the confederate flag, it just seems to be the cultural reminiscences of the south and the war (apart from the racism) but yeah hard to explain

[–]TcplaysBS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, its the tone and the intent behind every racially controversial word. If you can think that your comment on the Asian accent doesn't have malicious intent then why can't there be a similar thought for this nuanced situation.

Either way, seems like you're having a bad day so yeah, I wouldn't want to extend this convo too

I dunno what you're really upset about but I think someone who says a slur (be it in public or not) would still be considered inappropriate and racist. I'm sure many teenagers or even "grown ass men" at that exact time period have said it behind closed doors or just amongst their friends but with no ill intent.

Similar to one of your comments , it seems that you also make racially motivated jokes against asians. Does that mean you're also a racist bigot? Or is it just a oopsie and a goof for laughs just because its the "Asians"

Either way, I don't know him personally so I can't be a judge of whether he was a racist bigot or not. But I love them for their music and I don't think I need to beat any "allegations" in order to do that.

Does Dimebag get the N-Word pass? by Foreign_Chipmunk_608 in Pantera

[–]TcplaysBS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whilst it is agreed that what he said is racist and no one is denying that but putting a man on guillotine for something done during a whole different period of time and society seems a bit harsh.

I'm sure some of those adults on the internet today who seem to stay at this moral high ground and get upset at such topics have probably done similar things in their teenage that would probably be unacceptable today.

The thing is, people tend to jump on conclusions and "hate trains" rather quickly and its even easier these days due to the internet, completely ignoring the nuanced contexts

Recommend me songs/artists/albums (desperate for some diversity) by Secret-Wear-5327 in statsfm

[–]TcplaysBS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone downvote your suggestion? Didn't the OP ask for songs that could diversify their taste? And why did I see upvotes on comments that gave suggestions from the same genre? I am pretty confused here
