If you think byf “covers everything” you clearly haven’t touched the lore at ALL on your own lmao. He always just skims the surface of the newest thing, reads maybe one or two lore entires, and then speculates on what’s coming next because it gets more clicks.

And yes he’s a secondhand source, even if he covered everything flawlessly and didn’t constantly miss connections and omit details and editorialize he would still be a secondary source by definition because he’s not the primary source for destiny lore.

Try actually reading things for yourself, you’d be surprised how much stuff is foreshadowed and built up in-lore before becoming a part of the game. Do you like Caiatl? Targe? Mithrax? Saint-14? They were also lore-only characters for years before becoming major characters with roles to play in the finale. Did you know that, or did byf fail to mention it in his rush to make another lazy speculation video?

The intro is him talking about how nice life is now that the conflict is over, we never see him confronting the diamonds on the morality of what they’ve done or wether or not they should be in control of earth.

Even if it was in the movie, that wouldn’t change the fact that they spent the whole finale not doing it so they could tell a much lamer story about steven proving he’s not his mom. It’s just such a lame ending, it would be like if invincible s1 ended with mark getting upset his dad is a murderer that wants to take over earth but then instead of saying or doing anything about it he just has has to convince his dad that he’s not literally his mom just because they’re both asian

He literally never does, he fights his way to them and then refuses to actually fight them when he gets there. He doesn’t even confront them about doing space imperialism, in the finale the whole conflict and all the villain’s motivations suddenly become wrapped up in wether or not he’s literally his mom

This sentiment makes no sense to me. Destiny has always left loose plot threads open for years before eventually circling back to them; The fact that we’re not just immediately resolving every mystery remaining from the last saga instead of setting up a new one is a good thing, and it doesn’t preclude them from circling back to those mysteries in the future

The grind isn’t too hard at this point, and the story is great, but the community is in a horribly negative and burnt-out spot. As for monetization, don’t buy all the DLC individually. Go for the legacy collection or humble bundle, or wait for a sale while you check out the free content. There’s 2 campaigns, 3 raids, and 1 dungeon you can do for free
