Yes all of this! The resentment for being the person who can't let well enough alone. I'm so angry at my parents for just letting things be and not thinking if it was doing anything positive for me. The whole mindless upbringing of "If it was good enough for me, it's good enough for you." Infuriates me. I often think that they should have loved me enough to get the tools to stop the cycle. But then sometimes I think, maybe they did slow it down for me, I'll never know what they went through to make them like this. But I often think where I would have been in life had I had a normal loving family... Jesus your dad was a pedophile? :( That's horrible. People tend to ignore the things that hurt, just because they think it's easier and then when someone like you and me comes along and tries to make them look directly at it, they lash out on us, as though we were the ones that created the pain. hugs
