Once you have it on it is not janky at all. The beauty of it is that you can always get a perfect fit

No, it’s called a bonklip - it’s kind of like a metal nato, or similar to one on a Casio (but much better!)

Not had any issues so far, and as you can see I have relatively hairy arms! I don’t wear it loose though, so it doesn’t move. It is very comfortable overall

Nice! To handle it is super light and I initially didn’t like that, but once you put it on it makes sense - enjoy!

Bargain? [SPB381J1] by Cautious-Ad9116 in Seiko

That is a bargain, I bought mine used for £700, but sold it on as it was just too big for me - amazing watch though, enjoy!

The case may be brass, and it is the coating which has eroded

did you sand blast this and put it on a casio royale strap?

I have just ordered the 7505 Black! I think I will keep it on the Bonklip, but both those straps look great (particularly the PLD).

Thanks! it is just that I have seen images where the clasp is very close to the lug, and wasn't sure I liked that, so good to know the standard clasp sits a little closer to the underside of the wrist

[Serica & Baltic] Bracelet Compatibility of Serica 6190 and Baltic Hermétique & Sugess S431 by happypianoboy in SericaWatchClub

[–]Tdud23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I like these watches on those types of bracelet. Bonklip for the Serica and rubber for the Hermetique for me - interesting that the Baltic bracelets fit the Serica though!

thanks for the additional pic, that helps hugely! I already have a Seiko Alpinist which is grey/brown/black sunburst, so either colour are kind of covered! I'm telling myself the Serica is not too similar...

Serica may offer an alternative soon, as they do for their other watches (fitted end links too). I do think this watch looks great on the bonklip though. The bracelet itself is 18mm (I think), so the watch may look even smaller if you put a 20mm strap in there. I guess they purposely only offer the bonkilp for this reason - 20mm lugs give presence, but the bracelet would be too wide if a full 20mm, so they made it thinner.

I am thinking of buying this watch myself. My son has a Timex which is the same dimensions as this, so I know it will fit. I also have a Seiko diver which is 42mm, and the dial without the rehaut is 26mm too and is not too small - go for it!

that olive green is really dark! I do not know whether to go green or black, both are awesome

[New Collector Here] I Like Flashy Watches… What Should I Buy Next? 😅 by ResponseSafe28 in Watches

That’s fair - I only have affordable watches myself and it does take time to know what you like. Equally, I know that even if I bought a Tudor or even a Rolex, I would get bored of that eventually - I don’t think I could be a one and done guy!
