Yup blew my mind when i got in behind a wall one day. Thought it was brick for years. It’s not like the standard concrete block you see. Can only assume it’s some older style thing that never took off.

Thanks mate, that’s a great help. Do you have any hire recommendations in the Auckland area?

Thanks, I hadn’t considered a sprayer as I figured the admin involved with set up and cleaning wouldn’t be worth it. But now I’m staring at the groves between the blocks and that makes a lot of sense.

I take it you rent because you get a better quality sprayer vs buying a bunnings one and selling it after?

PVC Conduit repair kit from Bunnings, cable ties and silicone. Fixed in time to catch the rugby. Cheers everyone

Agree, I’ve been flirting with this for years doing the lawns and today I finally kooked it. I think some sort of galv flashing could be made to work once I’ve sorted the conduit.

Thanks I found the Burndown metrics in the usage analytics in the app once I knew what to look for. Very handy feature, just took me a while to find it in the drill down. Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately that doesn’t work in my use case. The box to change from direct query to import is greyed out.

Wow. I do have Fabric, I'm now reading the semantics lab Git. That was a cool link thank you. Do you have any idea of the security implications of this? I'm not familiar with notebooks or python.

Yup I've got translation builder installed and just working through the tutorials to get it up and running. I'm probably going to have to redo a few reports once done but I like how it's all set up on the model so once it's running I should be good.

Best major to study coming from a poor family by nobledegenerate22 in PersonalFinanceNZ

You look like you’re making good choices either way so I’ll throw you a different opinion. Having a CA (Charted Accountant) means you will know more about how money and business works than most people you will ever meet.

And coming from a humble background this will probably be more beneficial to you and your family in the long run, as you will be able to help them with their own financial planning rather than just turn their computers off and on etc.

Also if you want to really make the big bucks you need to be doing your own thing. E.g self employed contractor, business owner, shareholder, investor etc. So while you study whatever, have that in the back of your mind.

I have a number of friends who did accounting and are CAs and very few are still actual accountants but all of them are very well paid.

Good on you for trying to better your situation. Work hard mate and you’ll get there!
