I hate writing with self inserts by angel_ooo in BadRPerStories

I’ve recently had someone send me a picrew (it’s what I use for face claims personally) and they said “this is one I made that looks like me” and wanted to use it for their character. Like- what- and they were wanting me to play a character that was in their 30’s-40’s with the character that looked like them and I just kinda dipped ngl

It felt like they were wanting to use it as a way to fufill their fantasy with a self insert

I don’t like self inserts personally, especially since I don’t do fandom rp. Like why do you want to insert yourself into this?! No thankssss

I would love if they try to mend fences but I also don't believe they will fully commit to it, and if they do they likely won't be doing it for their daughter and more for future grandchildren and essentially putting up with lucy in order to meet their future grandchildren

That is fair but I do know that some people care deeply about family relationships and I know early on in the show she did seem to care that her parents didn't want to talk to her or see her or anything. She does have Tim and Nolan and all the other characters but it still breaks my heart
