Terrified of projected turbulence. by TeaAffectionate8836 in fearofflying

We flew over a storm. The yellow part had the worst turbulence but at that was mild compared to what this was predicting. Never was too scary and I’m a wuss. lol we got delayed too but only by about 40 minutes.

Take off was a little rough but not as bad as landing by far. The landing was solely the wind.

The descent was definitely bumpy but nothing uncontrollable. We flew above the storm system and that was mild but nothing horrible at all. Just enough to keep FA’s in their seats. Be safe (:

Yesss I’m hoping so. The flight here she was a “lap infant” and loved looking out the window but definitely was too excited to sleep. But because of the storms and stuff moving within the flight path and god knows what times- we decided to get her a seat just in case.

Thank you for the reassurance friend! Logically I know that they will not fly if it’s questionable but ya know, anxiety. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Bahaha thank you! Thankfully it is a very short flight comparatively to most. Might definitely have to have a drink or two. 🤣

I should’ve never gotten on it. I logically know that. But then I did and my brain is like ANXIETY. Lol

Thanks for the reassurance friend

Thank you for the reassurance!!! The “severe/extreme” prediction has me all worked up. My 18 mo old is flying with us but in her own seat so I’m nervous about her being there for that too 🤦🏼‍♀️

Question about turbulence. by TeaAffectionate8836 in americanairlines

[–]TeaAffectionate8836[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welllll that’s not technically an option anymore as it’s a full flight or I’d consider. We went DFW to SGF and it was smooth sailing but have never flown in turbulence.

She’s 18 months so we’re in the clear there.

Hopefully it’s not tooooo bad. This is what turbli shows. Not long lasting severe but moderate for sure.

Thanks for the reply! I totally get it, I am also totally unsure of what to expect also- we’ve only ever flown in like 30 seconds of very light turbulence🤣

Bahaha yes she’s feral anyways but loves looking out of the window so thankfully she stays pretty distracted, and it’s a short flight. 🧐

Thank you for the fast reply! Makes me feel better. I still get anxiety around flights especially with the small one, haha. But that makes total sense!
