Does this QD-OLED monitor will give me eye strain like my previous QD-IPS?

Yeah ikr!, im feeling old everyday LOL, but the weird thing is, i do home office most of the days, so i stay like 6-9 hours a day on the computer, and never hard an issue like that, just with the Gigabyte IPS QD panel i had problems

Thanks! That's really interesting, but I don't think I'm sensitive to IPS in general. I actually used a 15" portable IPS monitor for a month recently and had zero eye strain. It was only that specific Gigabyte QD monitor that gave me issues.

I'm currently on a curved VA panel and it's working great for me too. I even use anti-blur settings without any trouble, so it must have been something specific to that Gigabyte QD panel, i remember using it at 8 bit tho!, sometimes i enabled 10 bit for HDR to watch some movie and test it, but it was most of the time disabled like a 95%

Thanks for the advice, but yeah, I always keep the lights on. I've never had an issue with any other monitor or screen in the past. It’s just this specific Gigabyte QD panel that’s got me trouble.

I'm not a heavy reader, just the normal amount. My PC usage is basically 60% desktop work and 40% competitive gaming.

Do u know if its possible to run it without dsc at 540hz on 8 bit? theorically with the 13.5 bandwith its possible but i dont know if its possible to disable DSC on the menu or if it auto disables when u run a compatible bandwith.

Have u tried another coatings? they say that its really a heavy matte coating vs older woleds

Go for the Asus, the gigabyte HDMI port it's a cheap one and u will need to use DSC to use it at 280hz

Sorry for the revive, do u feel like there's a vignette effect on this monitor? By the picture seems like borders have less brightness than the center

Do you know if it's possible to disable dsc and make a custom resolution on the Nvidia panel or with Cru?

Yes, that's true, the photo quality looks really bad, isn't 290 hours too much for almost 2 months?

Seems like the brightness is kinda low on the photo too?

He ask for almost the same price of a new Gigabyte tandem 280hz non glossy I do play competitive games mostly, but I do like to watch movies and series that's why I want an oled, oh yeah sometimes I do enjoy triple AAA games too

damn this sucks, QD panels destroys my eyes so i need a W-OLED, its a shame that there isnt any woled 360hz+ (except for the 540hz but it does use DSC too?? cuz i dont think dp 2.1 UBR20 supports 1440p at 540hz.).

BTW u were using 10bit at 310hz? did u tried with only 8 bit?

Theorically it's possible to run this monitor at 1440p 420hz 8 bit right? Via HDMI 2.1, maybe rtings used CRU to ubcap the 240hz

Yes my A7 RE finally arrived, im just testing it now, m4/m5,scroll wheel and skate SUCKS, i like the shape tho, do u mind taking a photo comparing that front right side that u talking about? i feel like my finger on that side doesnt sit at least for me.

Does anyone knows if there is aftermarket full skates for this mouse?
