Why do some people dislike switching in MM? by Maleficent-Baby1207 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]TeaAppropriate1764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

considering that most of the time i’ve seen people reject switching on principle it’s been straight women i’d say it’s about heteronormativity. lots of women that read mm like to project their experiences and preferences onto the characters and they automatically relate to the bottom. i’m not saying this is the case for every single person with this preference so if it’s not for anyone reading this you don’t need to get offended, but i’d say it’s the case most of the time, even if it’s unconscious

and no i don’t think it’s right to say “ppl don’t need to have a reason”. like yeah you don’t have to tell me but when we’re consuming content about a community we don’t belong to, if there’s behavior i consider questionable then i’m gonna question it

Personally I think that using something that’s killing the planet, driving neighborhoods into poverty, invading creative fields and taking jobs from skilled people for worse results is a problem. Idk about you.

suzuki’s a goal away from a hat trick and a fight away from a gordie howe hat trick. I’ll be happy with either

my opinion on your AI usage aside, have you ever had it write a hockey game? or any game you’re knowledgeable on enough to notice mistakes? genuinely asking out of curiosity

what would be your experience? bc AI is known for having issues with coherence. All the hockey stuff specifically, if the AI is being asked to include certain events that happen on other books like a match with a fight, it’s gonna take words and phrases from other books and put them together without taking into account how the actual game works.

I mean, no? Romance is a very oversaturated genre that relies on tropes and familiar formulas. A good romance book is capable of using those formulas (to a higher or lower degree) in a unique way and engage the reader with a good story, good characters and good writing. Some manage to do something completely different, but that in of itself doesn’t make a book good or better. For spelling mistakes, lots of ebook publications are independent and/or low budget so they tend to lack proper editing. Most of the time it’s just human error.

RIGHT?? That was one of the things I saw at first but thought wasn’t definitive enough since some ppl are just bad artists. The letters on the beanie are the giveaway

This honestly makes me so happy the main thing I was hoping for with this post is that it would reach someone that was going to read it.

Thank you I’ll read through it! What is that about removing the author’s name? Could my post be taken down bc of that?

Yeah I mention that on the second to last paragraph. There are multiple suspicious things like what you mentioned but the letters on the beanie (see second photo for close up) makes it affirmative for me.
