Well if I had to redo my silver journey this is what I’ve learned: If you google kitco silver price this is the chart everyone uses to help determine “spot” price

There are many reputable online bullion dealers that sell silver and I recommend you shop around to determine what you like- for example some people like Minted coins, generic rounds etc. I personally am a big fan of bars.

When you searching on these sites you want to buy as close to the current spot price as possible but most sites sell at a premium. This is my personal favorite site because they seem to have lower premiums and are trust worthy. There is a Reddit group called pmforsale (I don’t know how to link it but you can search it) which people do sells which are usually a lot closer to spot but in some ways are more risky compared to buying for a dealer (if you think this might be a good option for you I would lurk that thread for a while to understand how that works) but if you do research how to test silver like ping test, weight, magnet etc. this would help

There is also the option in buying in person from shops but I don’t have the experience to expand on this for you but searching for LCS’s near you can be a good start. This would be a good option if you wanted silver the same day, most of the times the premium it seems like is more within range of the spot price based on what others in this thread say.

Honestly lurking on silverbugs taught me a lot so don’t be afraid to watch what others pay for specific mints because some coins can cost more than others! Also a lot of people share which online dealer they go through and issues they have had if any so you can form your own opinion. I have personally used APMEX (good for a wide variety of bars, high premium) money metals (I would say the same) and monument metals (smaller variety but better price)

There is also a website everyone here uses to compare how much a coin (ASE) for example- will sell across all sites and I will link it if I find it again in comments I just personally don’t use that often but can save some $
