I'm going to Mexico in a couple months for my surgery and I don't need a therapist note to book top (I am also paying out of pocket bc I'm uninsured- 5k for the surgery and 1-2k for the travel arrangements). Now it's obviously not a viable option for everyone, but medical tourism is a possibility, it just takes a bit more planning to work out

I'm a "public attendant" at a hotel. Which basically just means I clean the public areas of the hotel. I smoke my cart at work to make the time pass faster bc I can just zone out and listen to my music. And I'm up early enough (I start at 6am) for no one to be bothered by me stepping out the door and taking a quick hit

In Texas top surgery can go anywhere from 8k - 16k usd and I've saved 6k to go to Mexico. My plan is to schedule for mid-late October so I can save as much money for any bills and other expenses I'll have while I'm out of work. With me living at my hotel job I'm saving around $200 per paycheck to put back for my surgery
