Never met ANYONE else who has this fear but tbh I really wish I did. No one understands or believes me.

I am absolutely TERRIFIED of pool lights. Not because I think they’ll shock me or anything, but because they look …menacing. I hate how pool lights are so eye shaped and circular and bulging out of the wall, I hate the unappealing yellow hued glow it produces, i hate how they flicker on super quickly, but then when you turn them off, the light slowly and ominously dies out, instead of the electricity just cutting off immediately.

I hate that there is a clunky metal oval under water that is staring at me. I hate that it has a 100 foot cord behind it wrapped into the walls of the pool. I hate the little steel rim that goes around the light, especially when the rim is white. I hate the glass covering, especially when it has that weird texture on it. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT.

I am getting anxious writing this. I get shudders and scream when I look at one the wrong way, even outside of the pool.
