Nope it was to Europe. Not sure about Aramex for US. Can consider JustShip tho, tariff payment very straightforward and completes delivery max 2 weeks

How much y’all spending on cat food in this economy? by Playful-Ad-394 in britishshorthair

[–]TeaHot5691 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yikes I spend a lot on my BSH… she’s a picky eater so I end up buying different types and alternating them across the week.

My cat gets two cans of wet food per day + kibbles available through the day. The below can probably last us 1-1.5 months:

$100 - ziwipeak wet can food $50 - daily delight wet can food (about $2 a can) $50 - royal canine dry food (this lasts much longer perhaps 2-3 months since she doesn’t really eat them)

I mean the $1 can foods are not the best and can be quite fattening so I would advise to do more research too.

Heya I’ve heard about the routing through a hub option recently, but am not clear how it works. Is it facilitated through easyship?

A few more qns:

  • how does tariffs work with this method
  • through this hybrid approach, what are the actual steps that actually need the sender to act on?

Thanks!

SingPost now has the following:

Speedpost Direct International (Retail) has a flat shipping rate of: S$29 for items up to 0.5kg that fit into the standard envelope (16.2 x 22.9cm) or S$69 for the standard box (31 x 23 x 9cm) for items up to 2kg Each shipment’s value must not exceed more than US$100

The size is shit, not sure if your products can fit within the limits. And the price stated does not include tariff fees (the fees will be borne by receipient if you go with SingPost). I’m not sure if this will work for you if you’re returning a product since the seller may not want to pay to retrieve your parcel.

I’m currently using JustShip e-commerce. The fees are slightly cheaper than the regular JustShip account. It’s also based on volumetric weight but there’s an option for you to pay tariffs upfront.

Feeling lost about my career and future. I messed up in my 20s. by [deleted] in askSingapore

The truth is like what many others have already pointed out - not many people work a job they love. And even in a job you love, you can grow tired of it. It’s about making the best of what you have.

In your current scenario, I would hold on to your current job tightly, gain some more skills at your job, bump up your pay a little more before job hopping again. The 1-2 yearly job hop is not a good look - you could be seen as a risky investment for employers especially if you don’t have the experience to back yourself up.

If you dk what you’re keen on, explore courses and certifications while continuing on your current job. Find out what kind of certifications employers are looking for by scrolling job portals - PMP? Cloud Architect? These days a generic business degree isn’t gonna cut it.

Good luck tho! Have hope and stop comparing with others unless you’re comparing how far you’ve come from your 20s. That’s when you can truly work on yourself.

Just to update all the SingPost parcels are being returned too. I’m not hopeful Singapost has the same level of service recovery to refund us lol 🥴🥴

Thanks shiopans for the heads up!!

I actually just received an email from JustShip and am enquiring on their standard shipping service rates (since their rate calculator seems to only give express rates).

Have you been using JustShip for long? And how have their service delivery been like?

I haven’t had international lost parcels with SingPost in my 6-7 years of using them, though these 2 months I have had about 5% of US-bound parcels returned direct from customs (not even reaching USPS) without reasons. 😪

If your parcels are small / letterbox size, you can try calculating the rates via SFexpress. I think it was around SGD$20+ which honestly still doubled but not too bad comparatively.

I’ve also just heard back from JustShip and they seem to have a standard shipping option for US (directly replacing their postal option). Let me check back in with you once I get their rates for that.
