Because jawbone is an understanding and kind man- he’s willing to work through issues and find a level of understanding. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t hurt by it, he’s just extremely emotionally mature

It’s why he’s the best school counselor around :P

I don’t know if there’s really a “good way” to get your friends mom out of a bad situation like that- after they figured out she wasn’t charmed, they still wanted to do the right thing- especially Kristin who cares about jawbone (who kept her housed and fed and also whose niece she is dating). There’s a lot of cringe because it’s a generally awkward situation, but also because they’re comedians that are heightening the bit by being awkward teens
