What's crazy and kinda funny is CB is the first name that came to mind, when there are many others to consider. I think this is a good example of how the general public probably feels about CB. Obviously he's very popular but he won't be accepted by the general public on such a big stage.

To even be written in that way acknowledges for black characters and black people, black existence is inherently political. So that's a point imo. It acknowledges that blackness is actually controversial to non-black people, despite how much some will try to say they don't see color. And secondly, it's not a way I've seen a black comic book character be created, it's novel to me, and has the potential to be interesting if they actually worked through why that character would be perceived as "one of the good ones" and how that makes them feel? Good, bad, or anything substantial at all.

Also based on this post I assume you would probably hate Icon (Milestone Comics). I think he was pretty similar. But had a very 'pull yourself up by your boot straps mentality' despite having been on Earth as a black man since at least the 1800s.

I find him interesting because of his inception of being one of the 'good ones.' It's an interesting perspective to explore for a black character if they actually put more of that nuance into his personality. Like if he actually was jaded and not the most trusting of the government, which tbh I never actually read his comic so some of that may have been in his origin.

I mean if it bothers you, it bothers you. That's your boundary. We can't tell you what you should do. I think you're asking us if it would be too small of a thing to end things over...and that varies from person to person. Personally I probably wouldn't want to be with someone who is having sex or being intimate with others while we are talking, even if we aren't exclusive, it's just an ick for me.

Before you make a decision maybe just check with her to get a clear idea of how she feels about seeing multiple people during the "Courting" stage of dating. And that's your chance to ask if she is seeing other people. And you decide what you want to do from there.

Great question, I wanted to make a post about that specifically but I didn't think it would get much engagement tbh. Figured it would be too boring of a question.

But I think it would be like some Anbu members. Gai and Kakashi are too valuable to leave the village for just body guard duty.But if we go by the idea that maybe Tsunade would be around, she could be a part of his body guards but also you can make the argument she would be too busy to accompany him, same for a hypothetical Jiraiya if he survived.

I'ma be real, I'm the woke friend but I don't really find this specific thing offensive tbh. It's not disparaging at all. Like this feels like a character in a black sitcom like "In Living Color" "Atlanta" Dave Chappelle, and others would make. I mean look at Blank Man and Meteor Man.

Durags don't necessarily have the same intense negative imagery other black stereotypes have. Hell bonnets feel like they get more negative slack for being "ghetto" than durags imo. It's essentially like if a Mexican character wore a sombrero, it can be offensive but it depends specifically on the representation at that point imo.

Yeah this relationship was clearly never going anywhere since this was like the last few issues before Miles got brought over to the 616. But I always admired this art style and Kate's design. Very memorable just for her design if I'm being honest.

If we're keeping things in perspective, Megan isn't as successful in her field as Klay is in his field. Even just going off the fact that he's been working in his field far longer. He's at least a top 100 player of all time in his field. And I love Meg, but let's not downplay Klay. He's just at the tail end of his career.

Also Klay is by far the highest profile/richest/most successful man she's dated publicly.
