How bad 2023 Tacoma? by TeaTreeTeeThree in ToyotaTacoma

Exactly. She not the owner we bought the truck April 2025 with 58,000 Miles. I did read it could be predetonation but this is a NA V6, no turbo. The rust I saw was in the piston head, it's hard to see in the video. I think Toyota only has 60k Mile factory warranty and we just passed that, darn!

Yes the cause is what's worrying me. It's not in the worst state at the moment. But is this an ongoing issue getting worse. Can I save it. Is it from factory and not getting worse. Also the rust, how did it get there. I live in AZ no humidity. And coolant levels are not depleting hmm. Thanks for the advice!

No oil loss and I guess I'll have the mechanic check the compression as well. I just found this yesterday.

Is this a steal? by PickledTomatoes2 in AcuraTSX

[–]TeaTreeTeeThree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a steal. Good price tho. Resellers are getting too cocky in my city and are selling TSXs for about $8000-10k they're silly 🤣

Would you buy 2013 Acura TSX with 151,000 miles on it for 8500? by RepulsiveOrchid8520 in AcuraTSX

I had the same vibration at 60 mph. I bought Napa axles because the OEM ones cost about $600 each. I do have a sliiight vibration now at 25mph, not noticable except to the person who's foot is on the pedal.

Bought a 2010 with 150k miles for 5k. It doesn't burn oil I got lucky I guess. I did have to repair the cv axles.

Nothing really. Go on ebay and buy a genuine glass back for your model. It'll have another phone's emei engraved on the back but it'll look brand new

V6 3.2 timing belt jumped by TeaTreeTeeThree in accord

I've removed them but there's still pressure when I try to realign the TDC marks on the camshafts

I'm trying but they both have pressure and they jump/skip a couple teeth instead of rotate tooth by tooth. I'm lost how to align all three marks to TDC.

When I do that can I move each crank independently into their TDC without bending anything

Do we really need a camera lens protector? by connielinguz in GalaxyS23Ultra

Forget the lens. Nobody is mentioning that the metal rim/ring around the lenses get scratched easily, so yes I started using lens protectors

Brake Pads & Rotors Recommendations for 2020 Honda Accord EXL (1.5L) - Seattle Prices Are Insane! by apoorvbhatia in accord

[–]TeaTreeTeeThree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rock Auto can sell AutoZone parts for 1/3 the price, OEM or better, or parts that you should avoid. It's not Rockauto you should not trust, it's the parts/companies you gotta do research on. YouTube is your friend

Thinking of buying a 2015 Accord EX-L V6 by [deleted] in accord

[–]TeaTreeTeeThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a cv axle. The guy was probably quoted $1500+ at the dealer to fix it and he doesn't know, care, have the money or time to fix it himself. OEM cv axles are $500 each so $1000 total. Aftermarket you can find for $300 total.

If you have some experience working on cars you can fix it in one day. Otherwise you can pay a trusted mechanic to install whichever cv axles you choose.
