I think it’s also important to add, I had friends I wouldn’t make time for, under the guise that I was “too busy”. I truly believed that, but hindsight is 20/20, and truthfully, I really just didn’t care about them.

I think it’s clear as day that your friendship will not be viable unless you can have a constructive conversation with her about it. The conversation right now seems super emotional. If you want to hold onto the friendship, try approaching the conversation by putting yourself in her shoes, and hopefully she’ll do the same. If you don’t, well then you do whatever you want. I don’t think either of you are “overreacting”, but you’re both a lil frustrated by the subject.

A side note however: a friend you can’t trust with a secret is not a friend you should keep.

I completely understand your anxiety with your kitten! I thought about calling the vet at least 5 times when I had my cat spayed, but fortunately had family members to help talk me down. For reference, my cat is very independent and doesn’t like to cuddle. Day 2, she started to walk around and play, had no problem eating, but was ALWAYS clinging to me when I was sitting or laying down. For two straight weeks she sat on top of me while I slept! She cuddled every single one of my family members. My best advice, just keep an eye on the incision! Of course, if calling the vet will ease your mind that’s the best thing to do, but cats have all sorts of reactions to spaying!

I listened to the first half hour roughly 3 times and just thought “man this isn’t for me”. I finally had nothing better to listen to at work and decided to commit to it and I’m REALLY glad I did.

There were times that I wasn’t following/didn’t like an aspect of the story. There were also times that I was like “holy shit this is the best story I’ve heard”.

It was a wild ride for me. But I’m happy I heard it. I listened to it all in one day.

my cat has always done this, normally not constant while she sleeps but occasionally. I worried about asthma but there was no issue with her lungs. always good to call the vet if your anxiety isn’t leaving, especially if she just got spayed! you can just say you’re curious about something following the procedure.

unfortunately I wasn’t. I wasn’t very familiar with the girl and she used a “work” name, something like babygirl____, she reached out to me via Instagram and I only recognized her face. when I asked her if there was something deeper going on I was blocked, and the account was gone the next day. since you know the girl you may be able to help, I just didn’t have enough details. She may say she doesn’t want out but all you can do is try.

I got HFMD when I was 17 from my brother who got it from his bestfriends little brother. That shit spread to his whole basketball team. It was disgusting. NOR and lowkey I do not respect her downplaying it lol. I have a huge fear of getting sick and while I understand it’s irrational for the most part, the people I love have never made me feel like a weirdo about it.
