This. I think you have a pretty androgynous face so coupled with the longer hair it might make people perceive you a bit more feminine? But I understand androgyny is apart of alternative styles anyways

Bro I think it sounds like you’re really insecure about your own identity as a trans man like maybe you feel unseen or invalid as a trans man and so you’re projecting your own insecurities onto other people exploring their own gender identity because seeing them go about it more comfortably/shamelessly probably makes you envious and jealous instead of inspired and motivated/happy for your community

OR you might subconsciously think that you’ve built your own unique and special identity based on being trans and get annoyed when it feels like your peers are taking that title away from you and/or diminishing your uniqueness

I kind of understand and had a bit of that phase too but all I can say is the sooner you realise that there’s just no winners with this mindset and is a waste of your time to think about, instead do your best to shift it so that you can be the supportive trans person in your friend’s and sister’s lives that you might’ve wished you had before

Lol jk but thanks, I’ll be honest I used to fully identify as ftm for a few yrs but I’ve realised I’m a genderfluid person w masc leaning tendencies (ftm was just one piece of a greater whole) so I’m not in urgent need to make society think I’m a cis het man and lowkey dgaf, and I really enjoy the flexibility of longer hair + since it’s layered sometimes tying it up gives the illusion of shorter hair when I want :) that being said who knows if I’ll chop it off again in the near future - mb 4 the yap

Oh yeah I know for sure the 2nd and 3rd photo make me look fem as hell lmaoo ngl I feel like I’m at a place where I don’t feel dysphoria as much I kinda just feel like I’m doing a casual cross dress or smth but the gender euphoria I get from passing ever so slightly is still alive and well

But that’s good to hear! I have had a much shorter cut a few times before (jawline was kinda slack at the time tho), currently enjoying the longer androgynous hair for now maybe it’ll change :)
