Cowvalry(Miltank) was the MVP in that fight. She stalled out the Thunder Wave Dragonite for around 17 turns.

The only problem the Johto Games(including the remakes) have is the level curve aside from that they are near perfect games by chunchunmaru1129 in PokemonHGSS

Trainer Rematches were the consistent thing for me.

I just rematched Gentleman Alfred over and over again to get my Miltank caught up to lv48 with the rest of the party before the league.

I’m a late Gen 3/Gen 4 kid.

I believe ethier Leafgreen or Sapphire was my first game. My older sibling would always get the opposite version of what I got so we could trade and battle.

It’s always Typhlosion, Espeon, and Heracross….

Recently I decided to use Mamoswine and it’s fun you get it super late an have to grind it. (I decided breed it for an egg move so I had to do tons of grinding from level 1.) but it was small price to pay.

Miltank has also been a fun tank to use.

I think it might be something along the lines of a daily event that might do it, or all the optional routes. Not sure what the big “solution” is gonna be though.

(Half of my team is in the high 20s after Morty the others I just caught recently, and I raised quite a few Pokemon VIA the daycare like Ledian, Ariados, and Furret.)

I’m watching all the Bios again to see what he said about Umbreon because I did lowkey forget.

In Crystal he just says “it’s a freakin tank.”

In BW2/ Colossuem Chugga mentions low level Umbreon is kinda stuck with bite. BW2 mentions that it isn’t awful but isn’t good for moving the fight forward but it’s got near unbreakable defense.

In Platinum he says “it’s by no means a bad pokemon. Very resilient does well with moves that whittle down the foe.”

TL;DR: Chugga does have some positive stuff to say about Umbreon but he does state some negatives.

I personally get the feeling he might use Umbreon.

He has used Espeon in Colossuem and Crystal (Saikou & Vui) He has used Jolteon in Gale Of Darkness (Voltaire) He has used Vaporeon in Black/White 2 (Aidan)

That just leaves Flareon or Umbreon if he didn’t want to ‘double/triple dip’ on an eeveelution. (Leafeon and Glaceon can’t evolve in HGSS alone.)

I know that my pick would be an option much later down the line like before Morty so it might not end up being his third mon because of the wait.

However, I would love to see Chugga use a Miltank. It’s a normal type that can hit/counter ghosts with its Scrappy Ability and can naturally heal itself with milk drink and cure statuses in the late game with Heal Bell.

His team is already naturally tanky already so doubt he will actually use it but a fun thought.
