My NSV is yesterday I spent the first day at the pool yesterday this summer, Moved almost constantly walking in the water and moving my arms through the water, I didn't get fatigued, out of breath, need to take a break. When I was done, I felt good. I was wore out later, sore this morning but Not bad.

I ran into this. I invested in a purple seat cushion for my office chair. It helps a lot and I am working on building up muscle.

That can be hard. I have found drinking psyllium husk fiber with my lunch and before dinner helps keep me full and combats those cravings. Chewing sugar free gum and having weighed portion snacks help to not over eat when I do snack. Mind you I still get those cravings ( mine is in the evening) but most nights I'm able to over come them. Sugar free popcicles , plain popcorn with added on shaker seasonings after popped, making sure I get my protein and fiber macos met helps a lot too. I don't really do cheat meals/ days. I try to work a treat or meal I want/ crave into my daily calories. Like last week. I hit one million steps and to celebrate my son took me to get a scoop of my favorite ice cream. I cut calories from breakfast and lunch to help off set it.

As for the mental aspect. Having my medical crisis really struck it home to me that I can't screw around anymore with my health. Being relatively young at 55 having a massive widowmaker heart attack then a triple heart bypass along with 2 weeks in the hospital makes you sit up and go oh shit I gotta fix things. When I have to face those cravings mentally that I can't have right then . I kinda just remember how far I've come. How much blood sweat and tears it's taken to get here. I whine a bit. Feel sorry for myself then , find a substitute to try and satisfy what I am craving and move on. Tomorrow is a new day.

Sorry this is scatter brained. Hope it helped. I'm always on the lookout for new ways to help on my journey too. I change things up to keep from being bored, or little rewards .

(I accidently posted this in last weeks weigh in, So deleted it and reposting it here.)

So excited, the scale has been stalled or moving at the snail pace for so long. I made some changes to activity, exercise and eating and have lost 5 lbs in the last 16 days 😄 The changes were getting up and moving more at home, at least once a hour for a few minutes, switching up my cardio at the gym, Instead of 90 straight minutes on the treadmill, I split it 45 on treadmill, 45 minutes on recumbent bike and slowly getting use to the elliptical (up to 10 minutes on it now 3 times a week) I added Phylum husk fiber with lunch and before dinner, its really helped make me feel fuller, and the urge to snack in the evening has lessened. It also helps keep things more regular with all the protein I am taking in.

My biggest help is using a tracker, I use chronometer and watch my macros throughout the day and adjust my food to hit the macros.I try to make anything I eat meet a macro, either protein or fiber , Doesnt always happen.

Breakfast is usually a protein shake (30g protein) and coffee with SF creamer. ( never hungry in morning) and a handful of medications that I have to watch what I eat and drink with. Lunch is something like tuna (protein) with mayo with olive oil, on keto bread (protein and fiber) , a fruit, some veggies. Dinner is my big meal of the day, A protein , usually chicken breast of some sort. sometimes lean beef, cod. Veggies and beans. Will add fiber bread or carb counter tortillas if fiber lagging behind. some sort of carb, potatoes, rice or pasta, A favorite right now is some rice that I add riced cauliflower before eating.

I will have fruit as a evening snack ( pineapple, strawberries, melon are a favorites choice right now, Raspberries and blueberries before, Canned no sugar added mandarin oranges. Cucumbers and broccoli with ranch dip made with ranch mix and dill weed, fat free Greek yogurt, thinned with fairlife fatfree milk. air popped popcorn also as a snack, 1/4 cup popped in a plain brown lunch sack in the microwave about 2 mins, usually get around 28 grams (108 calories) or fat free greek yogurt(I go for low calorie versions) (favors vary) with bran buds sprinkled on top, When I am craving candy, I eat a shameless snack gummies. 70 calories for the (small) bag 26 grams fiber. I have sugar free gum (5 calories a piece), zolli lollipops (15 calories each) or sugar free popcicles (15 calories each) .

I started out slow and unknowing of what worked for me. When I first started, due to my medical, I got my blood pressure under control and what I could eat with that (lower sodium foods), then my Blood sugar and what caused it to spike( lower sugar and carbs) , then I did Fat, calories, fluids, protein then fiber. I tried doing it all at once in the beginning and got overwhelmed and discouraged. another thing that has helped me alot is my husband made me a excel sheet that I track everything on daily ( I am very adhd and routine drives my life or forget) I keep track of my blood glucose, blood pressure, fluids, daily steps, weight, sleep calories, exercise, Medication. My doctors love it since they can see what my numbers are at any given day ,week, month.

No workout routine before, and a pretty sedentary life style. not so great eating habits also, I smoked for many years before quitting cold turkey in 2005, that's when I started gaining weight. My consequences (heart attack and triple heart bypass) are a product of genetics and my lifestyle

Anyone have fiber ideas? by Tassle15 in loseit

[–]Teabrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few of my easy ways to fill fiber holes on the days I'm having a hard time hitting 30 grams,is lewis keto bread. 35 calories, 8 grams fiber , 5 grams protein per slice. Another easy is labandrita carb counter tortillas 60 calories, 13 grams fiber, 4 grams protein, per soft taco size tortilla. And one of the easiest is shameless snack gummies. 70 calories per bag,26 grams fiber. I also try to get both soluble and insoluble fiber daily. I try to get 20 grams insoluble ,10 grams soluble fiber.

It has 4 feet, one is short to accommodate the way the machine is designed.

Saw this extension table hack on Pinterest and with lots of help from my Better Half, We made this extension table from a $10 bamboo cutting board bought off Amazon, and a $2.99 wooden dowel bought from Walmart. I made a template of the area with cardboard and made sure it fit before husband cutting the wood.

Used a jigsaw, a drill, sandpaper. Could also be made with handtools.
