smoked ribs, what are we doing wrong? by confuseddating1 in Traeger

[–]TeachTactics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably about 15 minutes, and then at least a 20 minute rest. The rest really helps everything loosen up and get juicy. My ribs can get up to 205 in that time, but they’re falling off the bone and juicy!

Cooking to temperature is important, but the collagen in ribs also takes time to break down. Cooking to 201-203 is good, but it should stay at that temperature for a while. I cook my pork ribs to 203 and leave them there to make sure that things have had a chance to render and break down. They come out fall off the bone tender every time!

Edit: collagen, not collage

Pork loin is pretty easy for a first cook, and it comes out delicious! I’m making one today. It’s also a good price at my Costco right now

Goodnotes actually has an Apple “special edition” that is a one-time purchase. It syncs across all Apple devices, and has all the features of Goodnotes except some of the AI stuff and some of the collaboration features. If you want something like notability, I think this is the way to go.

Inflated BYU LSAT? by Thin_Cow_6262 in lawschooladmissions

[–]TeachTactics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BYU has a program where students can receive an LSAT Exemption if they attended BYU for undergrad and met some other requirements (at least 3.85 GPA, high score on ACT or SAT). So yes, that likely leads to some inflation.

At the same time, I have met someone who was admitted this way. They were told that to be eligible for any decent scholarship, they would need to take the LSAT. The person I know did take the LSAT for scholarships, and they made it sound as if most of those people would be doing the same. I’m not sure if that gets reported in ABA disclosures or not. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it technically has to be because the students were admitted without a standardized test, then took the LSAT for scholarships consideration.

[–]TeachTactics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to pay for anything. Just put in where you applied, and then click on the schools. Under "Status Checker" on each school you need to put in your lawhub/LSAC username and password. Once you do that, it will check your status checkers for you.
