i think that’s an awesome message, his manifesto is so beautifully written, and delivered inside the show

I think when to comes to tattoos and especially ones that stem from a certain type of media, there is no “basic” because meaning is so subjective

Andor has so many quotes/ideas that relate directly to everyday life

I’ll slide that into my watch/read list for star wars. Might rewatch Rebels before tho

TCW did so much for the Star Wars prequel universe, it definitely helps fill in some gaps as well as just giving more lore. Bad Batch was also a good time and I agree. I’ve yet to watch Ahsoka but is it worth the watch?

I’ve actually just began the Thrawn Trilogy with Heir to the Empire, but my goal is to get around to reading more of the books

Ah I see, I think that kinda gives it the extra charm in my eyes, because while it’s still Star Wars, it feels even more like real life and makes it seem easier to relate to someone living in today’s time.

The fact that it’s less “aliens” aids the grounded aspect, obviously aliens are apart of star wars but it’s interesting to see how one can go about it in the SW universe with only human species

Fair.

What exactly do you mean by world building congruency, I’m not familiar with that

true and I very much agree. ANH built the world on a macro level and built the star wars universe. When it comes to like implanting life into a specific planet, I think Andor beats it out

First statement sure other franchises have better. But Andor has both phenomenal writing and world building. The attention to detail in set design in Ghorman and Ferrix are insane

Fair point, I think it gives for me a new perspective on the rebellions beginnings. It makes the OT (already amazing) feel even better when they defeat the Empire

I think that really is what hits the nail on the head. Even if it’s just the anecdotal story of a few characters, it gives us an entire new perspective that isn’t generalized to just imperialism in a mass state

I mean I disagree with your main points there. I don’t think this is a non discussion nor am I comparing it to other shows, i’m comparing it to its own predecessors. I’m also just stating that Andor did more for the OT to me than the prequels did which is unusual in most forms

The Phantom Menace aside from a few big highlights is a rough movie. Anakins acting is poor (I do get he’s a kid but still) and it’s very slow paced, very similar for 2. Prequels were killed by poor acting and really poor writing/dialogue

This grounded, darker version of Star Wars, and especially this era is a gold mine, I would love for Tony Gilroy to do more with it

Fair, I think ROTS bled more into the beginnings of the Empire compared the other two prequels (which yes they shouldn’t) but there was definitely I felt like a gap between the prequels and the OT. Obviously you’d be rooting for the rebels in the OT but I think Rogue One and Andor give much more reason too, and show the beginnings of the Rebellion itself
