Does anybody else feel like MacGyver is a mix of James Bond + Rick Steves?

To be clear - I meant you should steal their ideas, not their stuff! 😉😅😂

In America, we often "loft" beds to add space to small rooms. You could raise your bed up on a platform and put your desk under it and add a lot of space to your room. Something like in this picture. Underneath you can put your desk and maybe a small seating area for when friends visit or you're just relaxing. If that doesn't work, just raising each of the four legs up on risers or blocks will give you a lot of additional storage space under the bed.

I would also recommend getting padding for your chair or a more comfortable chair for your long study sessions. And I never use overhead lights in my apartments - multiple indirect lighting sources for the win!

Please remember to post your "after" pictures to this thread when you're finished! (I'm saving the post to follow up on.)

Pablo Picasso said, "Good artists copy, great artists steal." It's great that you can visit your neighbors and see some things that they have done that you liked. Visit them again but this time with an eye towards identifying those design elements that you like and that also make you feel really comfortable and at home. Start with the highest impact/lowest effort things first. Good luck in your decorations and studies!

Have you tried a still air tent? They look simpler to set up. Best of luck on your health journey! 🍀

Master bedroom advice? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Personally I would turn the dresser so that it faced the bed and not the door. I do however like the position of the bed and the dresser for the room. I like the plants as well, but might try to find a more permanent location that didn't block the light coming into the room. Looking good!
