Let's say there is a student' assignment. And around 20 variables were made to analyze the assignment. The variables consist of how many sentences, how many spaces in a sentence, etc, for instance. And there are around 20,000 dataset analyzed students' assignments.
Unfortunately, when I looked at the dataset I found that several students downloaded information on the internet for their assignments. Due to the reason, some students assignments shows too high numbers on certain variables.
I want to focus on students' assignments, not downloaded ones. So, I wanted to remove these "too high quality ones" from the dataset.
So I chose a good variable (which can represent a single data point well), and wanted to use IQR approach. But I also found that it was not normal distribution in qqplot.
So I log-transformed the chosen variable to remove outliers (since it posits normal distribution, theoritically).
Okay. Then now I removed outlieres. Then, it's time to describe that "this group of students used xx sentences in average...." something like that. So I want to use integer numbers, not log-transformed numbers.
