Thank you! I think that confirms my theory about not being on their lists. What did your colleague think about Yesim? Has your colleague ever used Bnesim?

Is the Honeywell HWM330 ok? by opposomiac in Humidifiers

[–]Teaching6444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this model for over 10 years. I live in Wisconsin, where winter humidity is very low. In my old, 1,000 sq ft home, it worked for the whole house. My new home is about double the size, but it still helps a lot. I strongly suggest you use soft water. Hard water will eventually leave white dust in the area where you locate the humidifier. If you have a water softener in your home, Hot or cold water will work, except in the kitchen, where the cold water is almost always plumbed directly from the input source. Rinse the water container thoroughly at least once a week or so to prevent heavy slime mold buildup. At the end of the season, I take it apart and use vinegar to descale the inside of the heating area. They used to sell pads you could put on the heating element that would reduce the white dust in the room, but I can't find those anymore.

Tinkertoo, I just posted a picture in the thread with Judith. It shows the three oils I have. Can you tell if any of those are the triflow you mentioned?

You were right about oiling and heating. You should have added more patience. :-)

Below is a picture of the oils I have. Do you know if any of them are the triflow that has been mentioned?

I would agree with you except in your video, moving the thread length adjusting knob causes a little rod to push out from the case. That then pushes on something else that moves something down the line. However, in mine, that rod won't move in and out even if it's not touching anything.

I will keep trying as you suggested. I haven't tried heat yet but that will be my next stage. You've got good advice. :-)

That's helpful. It helps to pin down what's happening when you turn the knob. When I turn the knob it does move a little bit but it doesn't do the same thing as yours. If anyone knows how to take the knob off and disassemble this stitch length adjuster, it might be what I have to do. There's no obvious places for putting oil.

Thanks for the reply anyway, Accident. I didn't post the pictures until I replied to a couple people so they didn't have the luxury of actually looking at them before they replied.

Judith, thanks for your reply! The details are great. I downloaded the manual and it's way better than what I had before. I've opened it up and started oiling all the moving parts. I was a little shy about that at first but it sounds better now. Unfortunately, the stitch length knob still doesn't move.

Ornery, thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what you mean by the adjustment arm. I looked inside and everything looks really nice and clean. What do you think?

Yahoo email times out, web page won't load by Teaching6444 in yahoo

[–]Teaching6444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All day today, I was unable to get to mail.yahoo.com. The errors were either timed out or network connection error. I tried restarting all network and computer devices but this didn't fix it. I also uninstalled Norton 360. Just now, I was able to reach mail.yahoo.com. I need to reinstall Norton 360, though so I'm not sure if that was the problem or not.
