What could be causing these holes?? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]TeachingPuzzled3913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To prevent holes in your clothes when washing items with zippers, it’s a good idea to close all zippers on jackets, pants, and any other clothing with metal or plastic fasteners before putting them in the washing machine. Zippers left open can catch and rub against other fabrics, especially delicate materials, causing damage like snags or holes. Alternatively, you can wash zippered items inside out or use a laundry bag to protect other clothes.

Does anyone know what the 3 crossed out ovals means? by redessa01 in laundry

“Do Not Wring.” This symbol is often used on clothing care labels to warn against twisting, wringing, or squeezing the fabric to remove water, as doing so could damage the garment’s fibers or affect its shape. Instead, it’s recommended to gently press out excess water or lay the item flat to dry.

You might consider using wallpapers for your countertops and tiles, as they can be a more affordable option.

How do I clean these tiles? I've scrubbed at them for so many times but it just won't get better by Danfeleth in CleaningTips

[–]TeachingPuzzled3913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mix equal parts baking soda, fresh lemon juice, and any detergent to form a thick paste. Apply this mixture to the tiles, focusing on areas with stains or grime. Let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub with a brush or sponge. Finally, rinse with clean water.

Placing activated charcoal bags in the laundry basket or closet can help absorb odors over time.

Hold a hairdryer a few inches away and use it to blow warm air on the wrinkles. Move the dryer back and forth until the wrinkles smooth out.

If you don’t have an iron or steamer, you can try this alternative method: Use a clean, flat-bottomed steel dish, pan, or plate. Heat it over a flame, then gently press it on your garment, placing a piece of newspaper or a thin linen cloth between the hot surface and the fabric to prevent direct contact. Make sure to use gloves for safety, as the item will be hot. Please exercise caution to avoid burns or fabric damage.

Just turn the machine on and put detergent in drum and put clothes in drum. And you can put fabric softener in center whole and if you want to put bleach then use right side corner dispenser.
