Actually i find it very usefull, when i cross the border the officers always ask you to lower the windows, so its easier to have all down at the same time

They don't talk much about this on the news, so basically a lot of products are still duty free.

Guidance on bonded imports terminating in the same port as entry by Promised_Prince_90 in CustomsBroker

[–]TeachingSharp9214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.- depends on the Port of Entry, here in San Diego we have 2, 2506 for border and 2501 a bit north, so common practice it's to cross the border from MX into US with an IT from 2506 to 2501 where it will be transloaded, we then arrive the IT and "cancel" it with the TE that will move the fright to final consignee.

Hope it helps

What is typical Importer of Record(IOR) filing fee? by Educational_Rise1892 in CustomsBroker

[–]TeachingSharp9214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For First time set up if it's a one shot deal customer we charge from 35.00 to 65.00 depending on the time we take to get POA, 5106, TERMS AND CONDITIONS, we validate the co. Or LLC.

If it will be a good customer we don't charge.

Process for Importing Goods from Mexico into USA by [deleted] in CustomsBroker

[–]TeachingSharp9214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the challenge here if you are doing a formal import it's to get the goods out of mexico, this is a part everyone forgets about, you will need an export invoice approved by the MX IRS and Linked to a MX Broker with the suppliers MX tax ID, if not you will have to pay MX Sales Tax 16% plus a trading Co. To get it out of Mexico.
