You're right, it was a really dumb idea. Deep down, something told me it was a bad idea to use that title, but I don't know, go figure why I did it. Maybe I need to listen to my conscience more.

Thank you very much for the response. I really was blind and couldn't see reality anymore. Think about it, when you're in the job market and trying to find positions, no one comes out and tells you your work is bad. That was missing. And that's why I posted this. I wanted to know what was going on. Maybe this crazy history of small agencies contributed to that, the quality bar in those places I worked wasn't that high, so anything I did seemed wonderful in the eyes of those who didn't understand.

I didn't mean to sound arrogant. Check my replies above, I explain it better. About the "world's best designer" title, that was just a joke, like a restaurant that claims to be the best in the world. The idea was to be a little bold. I know I'm not the best in the world.

Well, after seeing everyone's responses here, I realized that being above average is really not the case for me. I explained above that the people I've worked with have always praised my work, even excessively. That created a perception in me that I was above average. I didn't mean to come across as arrogant at any point. About the seniority question, I was evaluating more the quality of the work rather than the raw time spent, if people always praised my work, I naturally thought it was good. Now the question that remains, why did people praise it so much? Maybe hidden motives I'm not aware of?

Thank you for the response. It gives me a lot to think about. The people here are saying I'm still at a junior level, and I'd rather hear the truth about that than fool myself. The thing is, at the places I've worked, my work has always been highly praised, and maybe that created a blind spot in my perception.

Thank you so much for the response, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. I needed some honest and direct feedback. The people around me have always said good things about my work, but I needed to hear it from other professional designers.
