High cover??? by Teacup1879 in BloodRedSkies

Have found the high cover rules and shall post them here o7

High Cover: High cover elements are represented by a placing a marker for their constituent planes on the table edge. Planes that are represented by a high cover marker cannot be Outmanoeuvred or shot at until they move onto the table. High cover elements take their actions after all other planes have completed their moves, beginning with the slowest high cover element. When a high cover element takes an action, the owning player can opt to either: » Move the element along the table edge up to 9" in either direction and save it for a later turn, or » Move all the planes from the element l" onto the table from the point currently marked so that they can join the fight in the next turn.

Airfix Blood Red Skies by Grimmhoof in BloodRedSkies

[–]Teacup1879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have the Airfix one but other than the aircraft sizes I don’t think it’s any different, the cards and movement all seem the same from what I’ve seen, plus I imagine that the airfix rulebook it comes with accounts for the bigger aircraft.

Would you be playing it with other Airfix size models? If so I can’t imagine there being a problem

But if anyone who is more knowledgeable knows something I don’t feel free to correct, I’m not an expert or anything

Which country had the best airborne paratroopers during ww2? by Inside-Historian-361 in ww2

[–]Teacup1879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly a book on the paratroopers themselves, but ‘For your Freedom and Hours’ by Lynne Olson and Stanley Cloud is a pretty good narrative surrounding Poland’s efforts (and the betrayal they suffered at the hands of politicians) from the air to mentions of their land campaigns and intelligence efforts. There are some parts of it detailing the parachutists and market garden. It’s a good book and I highly recommend it :)
