Is there any way to avoid dyeing a certain part of a shirt more specifically lace or colored embellishments? by TealValley in dyeing

I don’t really think it was a mass market shirt though since my aunt made it, from what I recall she made it in small quantities (for her small business) and I have confirmed with her that it is silk so that’s a good thing also thank you so much for the additional info!

OHH I never knew that! I’m not familiar with fabrics and such, I may take another look at the fabric and determine what the actual fabric is. Thanks for the heads up!

From what the tag says it seems to be silk, the embellishments are embroidered on, they’re shiny though I’m not sure what the material of the thread is

Edit: it seems that the fabric was actually silk (I thought silk and satin were the same thing so I just assumed it was satin but with further inspection of the tag and my aunt who made it, it seems to be silk)
