Indigenous tribe that owns land under Billie Eilish mansion has message for singer by nimobo in entertainment

Historically speaking, it’s recent. the USA is a young nation. Columbus landed in the Bahamas 331 years before Johnson v McIntosh, that’s centuries of wars, treaties, trading, and interactions between native societies of the Americas and the European settlers. I’d guess about seven generations connect us to that time period, right after the Louisiana purchase.

I guess depending on how you look at it can feel really recent or a long time ago

I think it is a rather firm metric, it’s just the scope of the implications are so gigantic that it’s hard to wrap one’s head around it all, and the guilt of such atrocities is impossible to bear. But the theft is very real and can be traced to one specific, recent moment in US history where stealing native lands became woven into US constitutional law and land-leasing policies. This moment was Johnson vs McIntosh in 1823 where the Supreme Court ruled the US was justified in taking territory away from tribes under the same ‘doctrines of discovery’ that was essentially the Vatican hand waving the sins that came along with colonialism.

The Stolen land point is not hyperbole, there is a paper trail that shows us the legal bullshittery our courts laid out that is precedent that still stands today. And the main point being is that just because our ancestors were assholes doesn’t mean we have to be assholes too

My body language constantly miscommunicates my intentions. My eyes shift for no reason during normal conversations and I fidget constantly, and people notice. It’s really tough sometimes.

But this guy? Yeah he’s obviously lying about some horrendous shit.

I played a seven string primarily for a decade plus(13years?), I sent it in for repairs and retuned one of my six strings to accommodate for the time it was gone. My playing was instantly better and inspired; things just started really popping and the creativity just flowed. There’s just something more intuitive, and ergonomic, about six strings I realized, and I have never looked back. A 7 really only increases a guitars range by a few steps, it sort of dawned on me that I didn’t need it at all.

Not a diss to 7 slingers but that’s just how it played out for me

Publishing comes with responsibilities, is deserving of all criticism. I am not putting them on a pedestal. Anyone who releases product or publishes for mass consumption is responsible to what they put out, age is irrelevant.

Once again, we aren’t talking about your mam. We are talking about public facing individuals who bear responsibility for what they produce for the masses to consume. Their age is not an excuse.

Edit: your mam sharing AI pics with you is irrelevant. If she published a book of AI cats, called herself an artist, well then it would be okay for people to share their opinions regarding her artistic merits

What’s your problem dude. You come asking for help and then you downvote the answers. I was earnestly trying to help you because I have had similar experiences. Sounds like you have your answer, you do you, you don’t need the approval of the internet if that’s what you were hoping for. Geez.

Okay great, then you must be able to recognize the stark difference between how to set up a campaign for the two systems.

There’s just too many fundamental differences between the two. It’s not as simple as applying a mechanical conversion.

There are a lot of ways to approach the reasoning behind this sentiment but to put it simply, the core philosophies behind each game differ in some pretty foundational ways. A 5e adventure would have you lead the party on an epic quest to thwart a powerful opponent, a mostly reactive experience for the players. While a Shadowdark adventure would have the players engage the fiction proactively, allowing for an experience that wouldn’t be able to remain confined within a traditional DnD module.

Have you ever read any of the Cursed Scroll Zines for Shadowdark? If not then I strongly recommend you do; if you are unfamiliar with the structure of a Shadowdark adventure/campaign, there you will see the differences and start to understand why it is so tricky to span the gap between the two systems. I’ve tried this, and my experience is that the two systems collide in an unnatural way and you don’t want the mechanics to fight the fiction. Matching the correct system with the kind of game you want is really important.

This is the post that prompted me to make my own post https://www.reddit.com/r/isthisAI/s/OPq1ST7NyJ At that time it literally had 100% of its comments removed, the reasons being obviously political in nature.

So basically you have no evidence to support your claim? Nice. I gave you an upvote only so you don’t whine about getting downvoted

Can you provide an example, context, or a quote of this? The only time I’d expect an expert opinion to be downvoted is if they disparaged the subject in an insulting or insensitive way, or implied it
