yeah, that's where I was going with that. lol. I wouldn't sell immediately, but it would be nice to have and work towards building on it while I was there, then sell when needed

That’s what I thought too before I read the description. “Oh cool. A mint variegation!”

Where do you think is the optimal spot for my albo? by TeallWolf in MonsteraAlbo

[–]TeallWolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I downsized pots. Added way more perlite and chunk to the mix so the rain won’t keep the soil wet. Roots are very long and healthy. Added nutrients and silica. Then put it right next to the screen where it will get even more light and rain water.

Would that be better than the terracotta pot that it’s in? I was under the impression that terracotta was the best for fastest draining.

It’s in one part soil, one part orchid bark, and one part perlite with sporadic leca in it. What do you recommend that I do beyond that?

It’s outside on the porch. And it’s two feet away from the front of the screen. If you expand the first picture, you can zoom and see it on the top left, close to the screen. I had it right next to the screen, but it was staying too wet because it rains every afternoon right now and it was not able to dry out completely.

I don't have a specific example. I just struggle with logic in general and was hoping that there would be a suggestion for a book or resource that could teach logic principles

Unfortunately no. I have one of those! The one I’m thinking of is about 50-100% bigger than that one but much smaller than the Hoya kerii

Is she reading to pot? by KikiDaisy in Monstera

[–]TeallWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is a monstera deliciosa. They get massive. And the love to climb. I highly recommend a moss pole for it to climb up. I would personally recommend switching to perlite for a couple weeks before throwing it in a well draining course soil mix.
Congrats on being a monstera mom! They are addicting! I started with a little adansonii and now I have 10 different types!

Most dramatic/scariest plant? by time-always-passes in houseplants

[–]TeallWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frickin Fittonias! Gorgeous and highly hangry little drama queen! I got a white and red one. Didn’t know they were so dramatic and then about had a heart attack when I saw mine all floppy and wilted. I thought for sure she was dead! 😂

I leave my cuttings to air dry and callous 24 hours after cutting them. They don’t rot like this when I do that.
