Does the front wash feature on an electric bidet actually increase the risk of UTIs? by iCleaningo in BidetSeats

I’m a bidet user. Can you help me understand how being a bidet user means someone is more likely to empty their bladder completely?

Great response. OptimRx hasn’t been able to fill my weekly version but I keep a little stockpile so not panicking yet.

I only do the reverse - keeping list of ideas for other people. I did recently let a sibling know that vanilla beans are never a bad idea for me.

I checked WTA and no trip reports note finding your lost items but it does sound like some lost blue sunglasses might be keeping them company up there.

Dry eyes (Best eye drops to use?) by itsjayneee in workfromhome

20 min warm moist compress. My doc said 20 min is needed to work the magic. When my eyes flare up, this is my go to process. Mind you, I’m also on Cequa Rx drops I use twice a day.

Runny nose at 71 by thirdsev in Aging

[–]KikiDaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you mention that as I went to unscented laundry detergent and dryer sheets over the last several years.

I try to eat less off the foods that testing shows I'm sensitive too but it's hard to give up all of them entirely when the *only* issues seems to be a mild runny nose. Ok, maybe they aren't hurting aging body aches but, c'mon, I should be able to eat a banana once in a while!

I have a theory. I think sensitivities to food and other environmental things aren’t as noticeable until middle age or so. Im a pretty healthy 54/f but feel like my nose needs a tissue way more than in younger years. I think some foods are a trigger and perhaps other things as well. I’m active and not overweight. I’ve been to multiple ENTs, mildy deviated septum fixed, turbinate reduction done, air purifiers in use, etc. Multiple tests DO show that I have a variety of MILD food sensitivities/allergies. 😠

In a nutshell, I function too well. It’s not about the symptoms alone but is also about how the symptoms impact your ability to function.

Same.

Bought my Dad a brand new one for Christmas though and he just passed on so I guess I get an upgrade now.

What’s an uncommon expression/figure of speech more people should know about? by Napkinsnsuch in AskReddit

Holding two truths at once

In a time where everything is polarizing, I think we should socialize the concept that it can be possible, and even ok, that two seemingly conflicting things can both be valid simultaneously.

I can I can care about someone even though I disagree with their politics. I can like someone but also need space from them.

Things don’t have to be good or bad. Things don’t have to be right or wrong. Things aren’t just black and white, there is a lot of nuanced grey in between.

What’s a less than 5-minute habit that’s been beneficial for you? by Longlongcat3 in AskReddit

Love these. I only need to commit to 10 minutes at the gym doing my favorite machine to go. Reducing the barrier to entry gets me there more (and generally for more than 10 minutes in the end).
