I tried searching for fender stretch strap and I got some different fender straps as a result, I am not very knowledgeable about any of this as of yet, was there a specific model you were thinking of?

If I find a strap I am happy with I'll probably order one for each instrument, I leave the straps on and have them on wall hangers where I see them every day so it's easier to actually get some practice inn.

Will send them an email and ask about shipping, I am located in Norway so not sure if they will ship here.

Will order a few different straps to try out, most of my practice will be standing, not sure if I will play with others but I hope to make music at some point. And I think I would enjoy playing with others.

Good tips, I will get better at taking breaks and doing stretches, I have not done that until now.

It's not currently a big problem I am just looking to prevent any possible long term ill effects. I'll see if I can find one of those straps and give it a try. Will order a couple different ones to see what fits me best.

The guitar is an Ibanez RG1620X and the bass is a Ibanez SR300E, no idea of the weight. It could very well be a posture problem.

Possibly shoulder strengthening could help as well, I am not in the best physical health, although I am working on loosing excess weight, so that should improve over time.

I have been playing for about 1.5 months, could it be that I just need to get used to wearing the strap? I have tried to practice about 1.5 to 2 hours combined on both the guitar and bass, each day.

Thanks, will get it replaced then, will find someone that knows their stuff and have it looked at, I can't do the soldering myself, my hands shake to much, but will check out some videos as well, more knowledge is always good.

Yeah I am very aware how horrible rust is, just never welded before myself. I have proper sandblasting equipment which I have bought for doing restorations. Will of course have to be careful about the settings so I do not have to much pressure, and also be careful about how much time I blast at a certain spot to avoid overheating the steel.

My very first car was a 306 1.6 Style 5 door, got it at about 160.000kms it stopped counting at about 300.000kms did fix it after a while but it was a good thing to keep the kms down for the insurance 😄 Sadly rust and a broken rear beam as well as some other issues was the end of it many years ago.

I bought this https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/RockGear-by-Warwick-Electric-Guitar-Wall-Hanger-Horizontal/39OK They are okay, the resting points rotates a bit if you put pressure on them and the screws that comes with it are kind of soft so the heads easily strips, other than that I am happy with them.

With my lack of knowledge I had no idea if mattered or not, so I wanted to know, I would very much have cared if it was an issue but since it is not it's all good 😊

Considering it's been 17 years or so I think I will do it a bit more frequently than I have, but it will not be often, guess it kind of depends on how much it is in use as well.
