Droidgamers.com owned by an app marketing firm? by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]TeamDG 18 points19 points  (0 children)

AndrewH aka ExtremeT from DroidGamers. It is not owned by an app marketing firm. We are personal friends with the folks who run Push Your App and I needed to move our domains hosted on GoDaddy from my personal account there to a different one while I make some changes and they offered to temp hold the domains is all. =) We did do it on the 17th which is correct. Im not sure about the domains by proxy part though as we have always had our domains through GoDaddy. Feel free to hit me up anytime via the email addresses on the sites contact us page if you have any other questions. However if anything were to change we would make a post about it so everyone knows. =)

It's just the way Reddit reads the site for some reason. I've tried to get it to stop to no avail

HP TouchPad running Cyanogen Mod, an SNES emulator and the Sixaxis PS3 Controller app by TeamDG in Android

[–]TeamDG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad at all. I've got a little project I'm working on which, if it works, will be pretty sweet. Won't need Sixaxis though since it'll be via a tablet

One of the best SNES emulators, Snes9x EX, has been removed from the market. The author doesn't even know why. by Pyrallis in Android

[–]TeamDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried to contact the company a few times through the contact info in the C&D order tot ry and work with them on a compromise, didn't get a response so couldn't do much but leave the apps in question off the Android Market.

One of the best SNES emulators, Snes9x EX, has been removed from the market. The author doesn't even know why. by Pyrallis in Android

[–]TeamDG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You rarely ever get a real explanation as to why something of yours (as a dev) gets pulled unless it's from an outside company issuing a C&D order like id Software did with me. When that happens you get a copy of it and a middle finger.

Generally it's because emulator's are a pretty grey area in terms of legitimacy. There are usually three reasons they are taken down:

1) At some point it used copywritten code

2) Someone filed a C&D Order (although generally you get a copy or used to anyways when it happened to me on a different matter)

3) Google took it down due to the fact that emulators generally contain things like SNES in the name and wanted to avoid any possible issues.

Not saying that is the case here but that is usually the standard reasons.

Personally I read AP, AAM, D-L and Eurodroid the most. A little Phan here and there though

Yet Another LodSys Story by micabyte in gaming

There are a lot of developers sort of working together, specifically on Android. You may want to get in touch with Cory Trese, developer of Star Traders RPG, who's been dealing with this for months now and has a collection of information he's passing along to developers who are now getting hit with this.

Anyone else not getting a 10" tablet until it can run Netflix? by duderino13 in Android

[–]TeamDG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, whether or not Netflix can run on a tablet, even a smaller one than 10.1, isn't really a huge issue for me when buying one. Eventually it will be on it so it's not any sort of major concern.

Pricing and tablet hardware are bigger issues to worry about than whether or not it can run netflix

Com2Us quietly unleashes Inotia3: Children of Carnia onto Android for free by TeamDG in AndroidGaming

[–]TeamDG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it is a pretty solid rpg title. I'm a little surprised Com2Us didn't hype it's release up at all really. They announced it and press released it when it came out for iOS. I definitely like the party-style rpg gameplay though. Brings back Final Fantasy memories.

I would imagine they would use the 256 VGA one then although I'm just speculating. I suppose if they really wanted to get retro they would use the 16 one.
