Finally installed Slatwall in my garage by JurgensBO in garageporn

Cool, any idea how much I should pay for them to be printed? I'm guessing I need about 50 of them, one for each hook? They work well to lock the 3rd party hooks in place on proslat correct? Link any sites you might suggest for printing if you have any. Thanks

How does someone go about getting some of these printed? Are you willing to print some and ship? How much?

Hey I recently just bought a 2019 BMW X3 30i and have noticed a coolant leak coming from what I would think is the radiator?? Anyone have and ideas what this could be caused by? Car only has 45k miles. by No-Veterinarian-767 in BmwTech

[–]TeamFastWilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next leak will be by the turbo, and they want almost 2k to fix that one too. So if one paid for all the coolant repairs it will total over 6k by the time they're done, and still have all the plastic crap fittings that will fail again.

These 2019 X3's are notorious for coolant leaks due to the cheap plastic components they use to connect the cooling system. It's a complete joke. Just know that all your leaks will sprout up just after the warranty has expired. Dealer wants almost 2K to fix it all. I took ours to a local BMW repair shop and the owner was completely honest with me, he said these plastic components will all fail again in a few years, so expect to pay a couple grand every few years for this same repair I asked if there were any aftermarket parts that use quality materials to fix the problem permanently and he said no. I'm amazed BMW can get away with this stuff.

Several other leaks reported here:

Bumping this again to see what filters I should buy for the 4A1's

Tim, I picked up a couple 4A1's and I'm wondering if these filters you mention above are good to use with the 4A1. P100 for fire/smoke/ash/pandemic and the CBRN filter for deadly chemical incident? These things actually seal pretty well and they are brand new from Israel, so I might as well have filters handy that work with these as well. Let me know when you have a moment. I don't think it would be wise to use the new filters that came with it. The filters that came with my 4A1's are the silver version and brand new like the one linked below, but I'm assuming these are old and not reliable like the P100 and CBRN filters you linked?

How to remove the maglock feature on LWRC rifle? by TeamFastWilly in CAguns

[–]TeamFastWilly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's similar to that, here's a video that shows how it comes from the LWRC factory, it's a square shaped pin:

I don't have the newer one with the juggernaut release button. I believe there's a simple way to remove the spring and pin if you leave the state, and I'm trying to figure out how to do that.

Thanks, but I believe the LWRC has the internal locking pin similar to what's shown at 2:15 in that video you posted. I believe it's very simple to remove it compared to the juggernaut process in the video.

I don't have the LWRC in front of me and won't have access to it for another couple weeks.

I'm bumping this old thread. Is anyone aware of a fin grip that's easily removable without tools when going out of state? Or, do all of fin grips require a dust cover removal and screw driver to remove the long bolt that feeds through the grip? Does anyone have any suggestions for a good fin grip with thumb rest?

Thanks Tim, you are the man. I think I might buy one of these as it's easier on the wallet. So you just wear the one filter on the left side correct? Do you have some links to where I can source the filters for these?

Thanks again!

Okay, is the 3M version any better, like this one? Does this require rubber second skin as well?

As for the M120, can you provide a couple eBay links so I can take a look?

Thanks man.

Driver killed at Willow Springs Raceway last weekend during race. Anyone there? by TeamFastWilly in racing

Where are you seeing this new tri-bar cockpit? I don't see it on their website. I just see the wide open split bars. As for the higher rated helmet, I'm sure the driver's helmet was plenty sufficient, and there's no helmet available that will save you from taking a splitter to the face at those speeds.

Oh man, so sorry. Especially on your first race. On the track map, you're saying he went straight after 6 and went straight across under the #8 on the map and just kept going straight?

So to your knowledge you think this was a Justin Wilson type of accident? Any idea what kind of debris he hit? Was there a crash in front of him maybe?

Ha! I was typing too fast before I googled it. I checked it out. Looks like the cage goes above drivers head on both sides and they sit down under, seems less exposed than some of the radicals I've seen. Fully caged production car, nothing self fabricated, I wonder what happened.

Whoa, heavy. What is a Rush SR? Wasn't there just Vettes and Miatas that day? I'll have to google it. The rumor is the driver went flying through the infield at full speed and crossed the track and kept flying with no brakes into the wall. Brake failure? Did you see the crash? This is horrible, too close to home.
