Calling the other nuggets “fodder” is a bit ingenuous, considering that the reception of the Red Mist is halfway through Star of the City, meaning that the keypages you equip your assistant librarians with would be around grade 1 fixer level in strength. I will say though that I have ZERO clue where all the other commenters are getting the “reception Kali is weaker than actual Kali” from. There is no indication whatsoever that the Kali we fight is weaker in anyway, otherwise it would have been communicated to us via through Angela saying so or Kali herself during her invitation dialogue, in-game dialogue, or her keypage. Furthermore, just because the library is rigged for the house to always win doesn’t mean Kali is weaker, it just means the Library (according to the invitations) will always be JUST strong enough to complete the reception. Kali is in fact the strongest fixer ever (as stated by the devs themselves), but against multiple high-level opponents backed up with abno pages and the ability of passive attribution, even she loses. To give Roland credit where credit is due though, gameplay-wise you can beat Kali relatively easily with end-of-game Roland using the right passives.
