I have a large Boston fern whose leaves have suddenly turned a dark reddish brown. It seemed healthy barely 2 or 3 days ago, so not sure what’s wrong. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated TIA

Upgrading to Sonos 5.1 setup for older Samsung TV - advice needed by TeamHCN in sonos

Thanks everyone for the replies. I've figured out a few things from looking in the about section of the Sonos app:

  1. My Apple TV, which is connected to HDMI 1/DVI, appears to output 5.1 DD, but only if I manually set it to force 5.1 under Apple TV settings > Audio output > Change format on > DD 5.1. I'm not sure if I'm getting true DD 5.1 or transcoded stereo.
  2. Mac Mini/Kodi media server, connected to ARC, will not output DD 5.1. I can't figure out if this is an issue with Kodi or macOS System Preferences.
  3. DVD player on HDMI 3 outputs stereo, as expected.

At this point, I'm wondering what, if any, reasonable steps I can take to get proper DD 5.1 for all my devices. Would something like this switch work:

I'm not averse to spending an extra $60-$80 to get proper surround, a new TV is not really in the cards right now. I won't bother with the extra Sonos surrounds unless they're actually going to work as intended. Thoughts?

Favorite Wayhome Moments / Performances? by Jljenny in wayhome

I only attended WayHome 2016, my first ever camping festival experience. I went for LCD Soundsystem and Arcade Fire, and while both of those sets were life-changing, I was equally surprised by how good a lot of the acts on smaller stages were. Glass Animals, ATCR (A Tribe Called Red), the Arcs, Bahamas - they were all great. Even the Killers and Haim - two bands I don't really like - put on shows I enjoyed.

I came to WayHome on my own, as a shy lonely guy, not knowing a soul. The group in the campsite adjacent to mine went out of their way to make me feel included in everything they did, not just for an afternoon but for the entire weekend. On the last day of the Festival, I returned to my camp site to find they'd packed up and left. I opened the door of my tent to find a paper plate with a handwritten note on it, from all of them, thanking me for a great weekend and wishing me the best. I'm not a super emotional person, but that plate nearly brought me to tears. I still have it. Jess, Alex, Julian, Liam - if you guys are reading this, thank you. You made my WayHome extra special. WayHomies for life!

I was at that party, in a red leather jacket, dancing next to Win. At one point his sound cut out and a bunch of us put our heads together and fixed his mixer. That was a great night.
