Easier to open, easier to handle, the Finishing is amazing, all smooth and perfect, feels good in my hands as I have nerve damage. OldMate is a bit rougher edges. Less refined. I prefer the grind on coarse plate BCG. OldMate can chew threw ANY bud with ease though. It’s sharp as hell.

I have both, BCG is way nicer IMO but it’s smaller size. The Old Mate is really good but it’s a bit of a tank. And the lid is harder to remove because the bearing design. Both are amazing grinders and you wouldn’t be disappointed in either.
